Ordering a 2016, QUESTION Trac-lok Diffs

Im probably going to order a new 2016 jeep and have a question about the Trac-Lok differential rear axel.

I have a brand new set of Yukon 4.88 gears, and obviously dont want to waste getting the 3.73 upgrade when im just going to put the 4.88s in. my QUESTION is will everything work if i get 3.21 rear end and trac-lock differentials and go to install the 4.88s ? Im a noob and wanna make sure everything is compatible

That may depend of if you will need carrier change in size. I don't know for sure.

Are your 4.88s the thick gears? I believe the rear needs a new carrier or thick gears for 3.73 and down. The front carrier I believe is 3.73 and up are all compatible, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Either way, if you are doing gears anyway, you could spend $ to get a Detroit tru trac instead of the factory trac loc. I hear the tru trac holds up better

The factory LSD use a clutch type mechanism and they are problematic. You'd be better off just keeping with 3.21 open diffs and replacing them with your gears and TruTracs or Eaton eLockers.
