Ordering process???

The family and I have decided our next vehicle will be a wrangler unlimited in a sport s package and we basically have to just decide on a color,,,,and that has been the hardest part of all!!! I am eligible for a 1% under invoice through work because we are a supplier.

My ? Is when ordering a new vehicle do u typically order first after the haggling process or do u put in your order and do the haggling once it has arrived.Obviously this would be our first time ordering a vehicle getting exactly what we want.

they way i have always done it , sit down tell them what you want, get the price and then try and get 12-15 % off that. my 2010 jku 4 door mountain was listed at 32K i paid base sticker price 21500. also dont go to just 1 dealer.. i went to 28 different dealers all over new england and NY. before i found one that would except MY offer.

Do the "build-your-own" thing on the Jeep website. Equip it exactly how you want to. Print it out and take to, and email to, as many different dealers as you can. You'll be surprised how good of a deal you can get. I did much better than 1% off invoice simply by negotiating with several dealers. But make sure you know what you want before you begin. I wound up adding a few options late in the pricess and the best they would do on those options was invoice price. If I had included them at the start of the process I probably could have gotten the same discount on them as well. Good luck.

That sounds like a good plan. In fact it was my plan, until i noticed that the canadian website does not let you build your own 2012 models. Is that because they dont sell 2012s up here yet?

How would you reccomend going about this without the canadian website giving us the models and options?

I don't think prices increased much at all for the 12's so maybe just spec it out as an 11 and use that to negotiate with

For my 2012, which was also my first ordered Jeep. I joined TL to make sure that I'd get at least 1% under invoice. I knew exactly what I wanted and I started out by going to various dealers and seeing what they would do. After a run around with one dealer I started farming out my request online. Some were willing to work with me, some weren't.

You should get the price settled before the Jeep arrives because once you see it, the desire to have it at any cost will kick in!
