Perforated Vinyl on Soft Top Windows

I'm thinking about putting this on my soft top windows: Link to Amazon

Anyone try something like this before?
Am I an idiot?
Yeah, I know, but specifically, am I an idiot for thinking about doing this?

An easier and more durable approach might be to comb craigslist for some factory tinted side and rear soft top windows. They can also be purchased new, but won't be cheap.

Unfortunately, unless there are multiple tint levels, they are the factory tinted windows. I just want them really dark but still want to be able to take them off & roll them up.

While there is no harm in trying to apply an additional layer of tint, I suspect it won't remain intact on the soft top windows, and won't stand up to handling.

I have seen a few Jeeps on the road where someone has tried to apply a tint film to soft top windows, and it doesn't appear to stay affixed.
