Picking up a '11 Wrangler Sport

Hey all!
This saturday I am going to pick up a 2011 Wrangler Sport. I am SUPER excited. I have wanted a jeep for all 22 years of my life!
Its a 6 speed manual, comes with a hard top.
A few questions for you folks:
1) does the hardtop really leak alot?

2) It's got the stock rims, which I HATE! What are some good rims, that are not overly expensive. I have also just considered painting them black?

3) What is the max tire size I can get with no rubbing, and do light off roading without rub?

Any and all tips would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats; Got a 2010 JK 2dr hardtop; never had a leak and the fredom panels come off every weekend during spring and fall. Doors sometime to.
Level 8's seem to be the choice for black rims
Can go 35 with flat fenders and very little articulation...read Mall Crawling Beast
33' stock with no rub.
What's the color and where are the pics
No Pics...didn't happen

1.) I don't know, I have a soft top.
2.) This thread has 15x8 wheels, which are your cheapest options: https://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/33x...deo-96568.html
3.) This thread will teach you about the largest tire you can put on stock rims: https://www.wranglerforum.com/f27/lar...er-142837.html

Nice looking Jeep. I have an 11 unlimited and have taken the freedom panels off many times, and frequently wash mine along with driving in the downpours we have been experiencing for the last two months with no leaks yet. I haven't had the whole top off yet, because of the unreliable weather lately so I cannot comment on that.

Supposedly Jeep made some changes to the freedom panels and they do not leak like the first few years. This is just hear say so take it as you will.

It leaks if you don't propery install them. If you follow the steps to the manual you shoud have no problems

It seems like it depends on how you instal the panels. I have a 2013 sport and sometimes when it pours or I wash my car it leaks, and other times not a drop comes in. It usually comes in right above the rear view mirror or the drivers side door.

Funny, I can throw my 07 panels on like a frisbee from 20 feet a way, secure only one latch and it won't leak.

Soft top on the other hand

Well everyone, little change in plans here. I DID not get the jeep. The Carfax was shit. Leaking tranny fluid, wouldnt go into reverse, front end made noise. I ended up getting an 08. See the thread about that.
