Popping Sound/Feel on Driver Floorboard?
I can hear and feel a popping/clunking thing going on near where my left foot rests while driving my 2015 JKU auto.
This seems to happen most when the frame is flexing while driving over drainage culverts and also when I turn hard to the right.
It does seem to be coming from the body mount area where I mounted my Smittybilt SRC Rock Sliders.
These sliders attach only to the two smaller outside bolts at each body mount, not on the large center bolt with the large washer.
If this attachment point is causing the issue would it likely be due to the bolts being over tightened or under tightened?
If I had to guess, knowing my strength and tools used, I probably did not get to the 80ft/lbs that I've read is the proper torque for the body mount bolts.
I will check those bolts tomorrow, but right now I'm at work wondering what the heck is going on.
Thanks for any input.
