After the flash sale Quadratec the wheels arrived in a flash at my home in 2.5 business days. Tossed em into the Jeep and hauled them out to one of the towns I was working at. I checked with the local tire shops to have them installed when I had free time. Alas... Les Schwab wouldn't touch them and another shop wanted $275 to install them. I bit my tongue and held out until this morning, then zipped over to Discount Tire . Those guys got me in and out in a flash using my factory TPMS.

The wheels came well packaged with one having a machine gouge on the back. Being it is on the back and covered, I figure it is no biggie. The 5.2” backspacing is perfect for the 35s.

Thanks @Quadratec and @Discount Tire for the strong customer service.

Your Jeep looks great! Thanks for posting the photos. Sorry to see about the gouge. If you can send me a photo of it, I'll see what I can do.

Thanks!

They are pretty darned nice! One of the things I dislike about some of the other wheels on the market is the protruding plastic hub. These are tucked away... now need to add a Jeep center cap at the next rotation and possibly black lug nuts (still undecided as I still like the contrast atm).

I have 5 Rubicon Extreme 16" wheels on my TJ Rubicon. I had the Jeep painted, and considered having the OEM wheels refinished, but decided that the black wheels would look better on the Light Khaki color, along with all the other black accents, and they do. I had a local shop that I have done business with for 25 years install them along with 5 new Duratracs. I am surprised that those two shops you talked to would have charged so much to install them. But, I guess they were charging double, once for dismounting a tire and then for mounting and balancing them. I had the previous tires dismounted from the OEM wheels and gave them to a friend who has a vehicle with 16" wheels and can use the mild AT style tires (they only had about 12K miles on them). Didn't have to worry about the TPMS transmitters.

I kept the OEM wheels, just put them in the QT boxes from the new wheels and have them stacked in a corner of my storage building.

Les Schwab didn't want to touch them since they were new wheels. The other company in town was essentially selling me insurance on the wheels along with install, mount and balance. I suspect I was just an out of towner that no one wanted the business from. It worked out Discount though. Love those guys.

I love them, they look great, sit out as far as I wanted them to and are only slightly heavier than stock. Quadratec is fantastic to work with as well. You can’t go wrong.

Good luck!

Joe
