Radiator Hose

When the engine is cold my top radiator hose collapses some at the top near the radiator. When the engine heats up the hose is normal. Jeep is not running hot, needle is in the middle as it always has been. Is this normal or is there something causing this?

Your rad cap is not working the way it should.

As your motor cools your cap should allow coolant to be sucked in from the overflow tank.

I would check the hose to the overflow tank and make sure it is not plugged as well. Many guys with the early 3.6's have found casting sand or sludge in the system that has built up in the bottom of the overflow tank.
