Radio upgrade: Want wireless carplay and buttons on back of steering wheel

Any suggestions for a radio module with wireless carplay that retains the buttons on the back of the steering wheel for my 2016 JK?

I am not sure the 8200 ever came with Wireless CarPlay. From Pioneer you first models you could get with wireless CarPlay where the 8400, 6400 or the 4400. The same holds true for the newer models, 8500, 6500 and 4500.

As far as steering wheel controls you want to get the iDataLink Maestro.

I just installed a Kenwood Excelon DMX906S with forward and reverse cameras and it is awesome! Wireless or wired Apple CarPlay or Android car whatever. Really woke my sound system up also. You can go to Crutchfield and put in your make, model, year and they will tell you everything you need to make it work. If you go with them, you can pay $25 for them to marry all the wiring for you and its Almost completely plug and play.

Looking into this option, thanks so much!

I am running a Pioneer 2300 NEX and using am iDatalink Maestro as an adapter. It has provisions to accept steering wheel controls which I do not have on my 09. I have seem 2400 NEX Pioneers on eBay refurbished for $240.

I put a Pioneer w6400nex in my 2016 Sahara, along with a back up camera.

https://www.wranglerforum.com/f274/p...a-2348485.html

I first ordered it off of Amazon but then realized the place I bought it from wasn't an authorized Pioneer dealer so there was no factory warranty. I cancelled that order and bought it from Crutchfeld instead. Paid more money but I didn't want to run into issues and have to deal with some place I had never heard of before for a solution. I ended up with an extra wiring harness for the iMaestro too.
