Rear bumper with hitch

Hunting season is months away, but it is never too early to start looking at jeep parts. I am looking for a rear bumper that won't break the bank that has a hitch so I can attach a cargo tray when I go hunting. Any suggestions?

Smittybilt and Poison Spyder both make them but don't think they're much/any cheaper. The poison spyder isn't rated for 3500lb tow rating.

I have a Smittybilt Atlas rear bumper with a built in class 3 hitch.

Again, not any cheaper than the other bumpers, but at least it's a rated hitch.

There are some bumpers that can utilize the OEM hitch as well, though I don't know which bumpers they are.

cheapest way is to just put a hitch on there and use your factory bumper

Smittybilt isn't cheap but you're getting what you paid for especially for its quality. It can work with other rated hitch if you're looking for other cheaper parts.

Never seen "Sh*ttybuilt" and "quality" in the same sentence...but YMMV.

I went with the ARB bumper and stock hitch:

But it does run $600+.

"a hitch so I can attach a cargo tray when I go hunting"
Are you looking for a hitch with a bumper or just a hitch?

Like GetRDun said $80 you can get hitch, wiring and plug

^^^ What they said.

Just order Quadratec's hitch and wiring harness and install it yourself. Super easy.

Check out the olympic 4x4 hitch , it uses 1/4" rather than 3/16" that most hitch manufactures use.

If you go with a bumper mounted hitch , make sure its rated. Many aftermarket bumper hitches are for accessory use only. to get a bumper tow rated , it must comply with SAE J684. Many manufactures that do SAE test will give the a tow rating that is 3x less than the proof load capacity and sometimes up to 5x less than ultimate fail.

Ace is rated too. Might be more than you want to spend though

Basically going to need a hitch and going to use it as an excuse to get an aftermarket rear bumper. Just trying to keep it less than $600.
