rear seat for jk 2 door

I'm going to install the teraflex 3rd row bracket in my 2017 unlimited and am having trouble finding a rear seat that will be compatible. The kit says a rear seat from a 2 door jk works. Anyone know where to get on or an aftermarket that will work? Thanks.

Ebay, Craigslist, Junk Yard, local dealership, local off-road shop. I don't think any aftermarket will work. Ebay looks like it'll run you $750-1000, you might be able to find it on a local BST group or on the marketplace here. An off-road shop might have one someone didn't want. The dealer could probably order it but you'll pay full price. Shipping it from anywhere will be PITA.

I've flirted with selling mine a few times -- would be nice to pick up some "offset" money to offset all the other expenses. I put it in the basement on Day 2 of ownership three years ago. The Jeep runs a Backbone rear security enclosure that precludes using a backseat. And I'll most likely sell this Jeep, if I ever sell it, to somebody who doesn't want to run it with a backseat either.

But I always come back to what a PIA it would be to have to source one if I needed it. Or maybe I'll have grandkids one day and decide I'd rather tote them around than have the Backbone. So I always keep it in the basement...

There's a famous old off-roader named Dan Mick in Moab. He still runs a guided tour business. Last year, just as the 50 special Red Rock Edition Wranglers were hitting the streets I saw his parked on Main St. in town. The Red Rock has a special dark tan leather that's only available on that Jeep. His has a 3rd row seat finished in that leather. I saw it again this year. Don't know if Jeep did it like that for him or if he had it made up by an upholsterer. I would suspect the former.

I don't suspect it came from Toledo with the Warn hubs though:

If you're anywhere near Virginia, these might fit(?). $50...probably for both of them!

I really doubt those will work.

....other than the brilliant part...I suppose so....

Yeah, I'm an architect...and the name is derived from LeCorbusier as you correctly surmised (good job!)....Do work all over the country - we're even doing a job in your neck of the woods soon (Atlanta).

The other part of the name came from "Gobo", which was my nickname in high school, taken from this little guy...(Fraggle Rock, which some of you old farts may remember)......I think it had something to do with the hair...(I was a bit of a punk-rocker)

Interestingly enough, I was told years ago by a French Canadian guy on a Boston Whaler forum that the "busier" part of the name was derived from/means "builder", so the name Lego-busier came out to him as "Lego builder"....again, right along the lines of your original assumption.

Good stuff..

Are you building commercial or residential in ATL?

.....both sort of...it's a clubhouse renovation project for a hi-rise condo, so a commercial application of residential use.

This place:

Atlanta, GA Apartment Photos, Videos, Plans | Heights at West Midtown in Atlanta, GA

The ownership group is up here and hires us to do work for them all over the US....they keep us pretty busy thankfully.

....we recently did work here too (I think this one is still under construction...I can't keep them all straight in my fraggle head)

Apartments in Marietta GA | Avia East Cobb Apartments

^^ I know the first one -- my first job post-grad was at 433 Bishop Street, a block from those apartments. Back then what is now Atlantic Station (big mixed used development) was the abandoned Atlantic Steel smelting plant. The area was very bad -- concertina wire over the tops of all the fences guarding vacant lots, that sort of thing. Light industrial or abandoned heavy industrial described every property in the area.

The west side has undergone quite the transformation in the last decade.

I tell you all this thinking it might inform your design -- perhaps razor wire around the pool enclosure? Use rusted chainlink fencing around the clubhouse as an homage? Just a thought...

I like it....I bet that's exactly the look the owner is going for!

Attempting to sell a spare Rear Seat has been nothing but misery and woe.

I'm fixing to set it on fire and post video.

I got really lucky and sold my rear seat within a day or two of putting it on Craig's List. I listed it for $500 firm as it was less than a week old and never used. Only one guy called about it, and he came over right away, handed me the cash, picked it up and drove off with it. He was installing a third row for his grandkids.

Glad to be rid of it.

I wish.

Hey Seanshort give me a shout if you're in the Central Texas area

Please, don't send your cousin in a Weanie car to pick it up though.
