Rear Seats ...

I really don't need them and need to space to carry tools , groceries (Costco) and other stuff.....

Any reason why i shouldn't take them out ?

Is it something I can do myself ?

And how does it look ? Anyone have a picture of a two seater wrangler ?

Thanks ...

Hp

The seat is made to remove easily

Remove and buy one of those liners that cover the back.

I took it out to move and now have 0 desire to put back

Edit- o wait you have a 4 door. Not sure how that works

If it's a 4-dr just fold the r-seat forward, and you are done Mine have been folded for months

I added these: Jeep:Wrangler<br>2011-2012 4 Door

I took the back seat out of my JK and haven't looked back, it sits high on a shelf and probably won't move until the Jeep has to go to another owner.

Is there a play by play on "how to take out the seat"?
I took a quick look but i didn't see any bolts like on the front seats.

Fold the seat forward, you will see the clamping mechanism at the base of the seat. Now the seat is pretty heavy and bulky, so watch your back. I usually undo one side and lift moving it slightly so the otherside can still be disengaged, put it down then switch to the otherside. Once both sides are undone, I wiggle the seat back a bit more so it doesn't fall back into the hole and reattach itself or get wedged. Then I pull the driver's side out to get past the sub woofer, lay the seat on it's back so it's easier to slide out and pull it out of the back. I hope this helps.

You should just be able to fold it forward and lift it out with the handle, right? I swear that's how I saw my friend take his out...

What Vin said. Fold forward, push the bar at the bottom to disengage the clamps, lift up. Rotate and slide out.

Seat out is the only way to roll in the 2dr. With out the passenger side jumpseat it's almost impossibe for a normal size human to get in back. Dog's prefer the seat out and I can haul more stuff now. DONE...no seat.

Couldn't get mine out fast enough. 1st I thought if I just take the head rests off I could live with it. Wrong.

Had mine out for a while, actually like it better since there was cargo room now and room for my Husky. Now I have a 5 month old daughter and the rear seat is needed along with a car seat base. If you have no kids take it out and leave it out.

Hey kdude!

I took my backseat out of my 2010 a while ago. I occasionally have to put it back in if some friends want to ride around in the Jeep but it's rare. My '98 didn't even come with a backseat!

Glad to hear you got it out easily!

Rear seat came out as soon as we got home from the dealer.

I had to make room for the dogs and the toys. It's easy as pie to remove and the same to re-install.
