Recommendation for doors off¯ side mirrors JKU

I love driving with the doors off but really need the side mirrors for safety. There are several styles out there most bolt to the A pillar or into the door hinge.

For those who have these which is best?

Iā€™m leaning toward the A pillar mounted ones.

Thanks in advance.

I’m not a sales rep

Quadratec makes an awesome mirror mover that replaces your stock mirrors with a spring loaded cam that keeps your mirrors in their stock location when you take the doors off. The heated/power option is pricey at $350, but if you don’t have or don’t want power mirrors the regular option is very affordable. Mine were a Father’s Day present, and my wife did *great* this year. ^_^

I went with the Quadratec mirrors that mount on the a-pillar which have worked out for me perfectly, but the stock mirror mounts JohnF has in the above photo also work very well.
If the shoe fits, kick someone's ass with it!

I have some cheap ones that mount on the A pillar. They're fine, but not the best.

I've ordered some Carolina Metal Master mirrors to mount on my grab handles, looking forward to them showing up soon

I have the Just Add Mud drop in mirrors.
They work very well, especially if you are just popping the doors off for a nice Saturday.

Just look for a set of Harley take offs. Cheaper and easy on/off. IMHO.

Bought the Quadratec branded ones four years ago. The pin that holds the mirrors in rusted shut this winter (live in PA and never take the brackets off).

Bought these ones on Amazon this time. They appear to be almost identical. I wonder is there is one manufacturer and lots of rebranding happening? Guess I’ll find out.

I've got one of these (Rugged Ridge):

It connects to the exterior front pillar. It vibrates, like any relatively inexpensive mirror would but not too bad. It whistles which was annoying at first, but then I upgraded my speakers.

I went the cheapy route and put some scooter mirrors in the door hinges.

(Zoom in on the image, sorry I don't have another one at the moment)
