rhino / truck bed lining your entire jeep...??

I recently went through the woods (eh imagine that) and scratched the hell out of my paint, i know i can buy brush guards/paint guards. But i've seen people use truck bed spray liners on their grills, and i've even seen people do it to streetbikes. my biggest question is, how much weight would this potentially add?

i live where they salt the roads like crazy and i'm assuming this may help with the rock chips and rust...comments please!

is this reasonable or am i just plain crazy?

There is a jeep around here that has done that. I have not gotten to talk to the guy. He is always going the other way. Looks pretty cool.

This is going to be the ultimate plan for my jeep. You could think about 2 tone. Bottom half is bedliner, top half is your silver

I'd love to get my doors line-xed. Look pretty cool I'd think, and be essentially scratch proof. I want to do my interior too.

My only comment to you is to consider cleaning--ordinary car washes tend to have trouble getting dirt out of bedliner. A power washer might be necessary. If you're cool with that, go ahead!

I seen a TJ done entirely of bedliner. It looked like crap but they did paint over it too so that didn't help

There is an INCREDIBLE Rubi in my neck of the woods that has the entire hood and the lower half of his half doors done. Looks pretty damn good to me. That reminds me....new thread time....

While it would be cool for you, it will kill your resale value should you ever need to sell it down the road.... Bedliner is tough, no one wants to have to sand through it or repaint..... Just keep that in mind. Trail stripes can be buffed out for the most part, bedliner is forever, (ugly or not).....

(I know, I'm old and I suck the fun out of everything).... But honestly, unless you own it outright, and can guarantee that you'll never HAVE to sell it, I wouldn't do it.

it's not my DD, I do own it outright, and short of something cataclysmic, I won't ever have to re-sell it. You're just mad that I lined over perfectly good sienna pearl.

Haven't seen one, but I bet it'd look a lot like this one.

wow

I saw that exact jeep near Chicago. It was parked at a hotel that was having some convention. I was there unrelated but I saw it, went inside to pick up my buddy, and then came out to take a pic and it was already gone. If it wasn't the same rig it was done exactly like it; and also had Georgia plates. Small world

BTW, it was very impressive in person.

eBay always has new- heavily modded jeeps for sale that have textured paint, or some sort of coating, not sure which. Different colors too. They are sick-expensive though
