rhino vs granite crystal metallic

Does anybody have a clear comparison between these two colors? I've seen some examples where the rhino is darker. Other times it appears the granite is darker. They seem very similar. Am I missing something?

Was gonna wait for the Mojave Sand, but I think its too dark looking, like coffee vs the light "sand" color I expected.

thanks
John

I don't have a comparison for ya, but here's our new GCM Sahara. Lots of metallic.

I think the biggest differences you'll see between Rhino and GCM is Rhino is going to be a standard paint, no metallic flake, it will also not have the drastic color darkness changing effect that GCM does.

Where did you see Mojave sand and thought it was dark? Best guess is that its going to be the same Mojave Sand as the Renegade which is not dark at all and more of a cream color.

+1 What they call "flat" paint vs. metallic paint.

Not sure if this helps or complicates matters worse...

Are the white grill inserts standard on the 2016 JKU Sahara in GCM?

From the 2016 press release:

Grill inserts are silver. Not a huge fan but the wife likes em. It's her ride so they are staying. LOL

Top is what I've seen. Bottom picture is what I really wanted. And the one I saw today looked slightly darker (the renegade). Basically would love a "sand" color but looks more like coffee with milk.

Every camera has a different white balance and exposure. Every screen has a different setting and shows different hues. Everyone does not see the same color essentially. Best to use your eyes and see the color in person if you want a true comparison.

No matter what color they paint those Renegades, they remain ugly.

Are they selling Anvil, CGM and Rhino at the same time? Genius.

52,445 buyers so far disagree with you and I am sure they will sell a lot more especially in Europe. I'm not a big fan but I can see the appeal, it ain't no Wrangler but it is a Jeep after all.

Slapping a Jeep badge on an aborted Fiat doesn't make it a Jeep and it never will.

Regardless of the 54000 lost souls who bought it. McDonalds has sold billions of Hamburgers that suck by any comparison. Just like this Fiat does.

I am sorry but I completely do not understand how your argument adds anything to this thread about rhino vs granite crystal metallic. Maybe you can start your own thread about your personal distaste for the Jeep Renegade and McDonalds hamburgers.

Carry on.

Count them up. There are only 8 of the 9 possible colors shown. The 9th is the surprise. Will it be Purple, or Rhino, or Rock?

I think we know the answer.

Its not just "about rhino vs granite crystal metallic." Go back and re-read the first posting. The first posting also brings up Mojave Sand, which here in WF land seems to always, immediately, bring up the Renegade (and numerous repostings of Renegades in Mojave Sand pics ).

Granite vs. Rhino:

Both are a gray base.

Granite is a darker gray, maybe a notch above charcoal gray, with very pronounced metallic sparkles. It's a pretty standard car color.

Rhino is a shade lighter gray, but with a definite blue cast. Looks like a darker Anvil in bright light, but a bit purple in low light and even black at dusk. And it's a flat color - no metallic sparkles.

Granite Crystal Metallic is the best color ever produced, and I am not just saying that because I own one

As far as Granite Crystal Metallic goes, it all depends on how the sun is shining on it or not. With sunlight, the metallic brightens it up a good bit. Cloudy and it's fairly dark, at dusk it's pretty dark where I can barely see contrast between the black fenders and body.

I'm liking my Rhino. I think the pictures posted here show the differences pretty well, though Rhino is best judged in person.

Probably getting a GCM 75th here. I think the bronze looks better with Black, but I just love GCM too much.

IMO, Bronze and GCM are a no go.
