roof insulation hard top

Is the freedom panel hollow inside? If it is has anyone tired drilling it and putting expanding foam in it to insulate it? Just wonering? Get real hot and keep the heat as is

It does a good job, but I added Thermal-acustic insulation to the top before attaching the offroadheroes fabric, it's really comfy at 115°, or below zero-outside

Jimbox,

I know this is an old thread but in your posting below about hard-top insulation it says the pictures have been deleted. Could you please repost with pics of your insulation. I have looked at the hothead product and it looks very professional and capable but the price makes it hard to justify.

I need to do something to help with the heat. When i get in the jeep, and before cranking the motor (no engine heat), the outside air temp gauge has read up to 49C (120F). Am traveling to the states in a week and would like to bring back either a finished product or materials to do it myself.

Your solution sounds good but would like to see some pics so can get better idea of what is involved and the materials needed.

Thanks.
