Roof Rack

Looking to purchase rack for 2013 Rubicon Unlimited. Main concern is potential interference with GPS/Satellite radio. Satellite Antenna located behind backseat passenger side. Have hardtop and would like option of removing front panels with rack installed. Thank you

Welcome to the forums. There have been a lot of posts about roof racks and using the search function will gain you a lot of information. Some things to consider are do you mind drilling into the hardtop? What are you hauling / how strong do you need it to be? I just got the MBRP roof rack after reading jimbox's posts (who I am sure will chime in.)This rack meets all of your requirements but requires drilling into the hardtop, and can not be used with the hardtop removed. It is fairly expensive and if you are nervous about the drilling you may have to pay to get it installed. It cost me $120 at a local body shop to have it done and I am very pleased. This rack is one of the strongest on the market and allows for a lot of options. Hope this helps to get you started.

^^ Agreed.
There are a lot of options and quite a bit of information on this forum already.
Thule Track system is another option that requires minimal drilling. Not as heavy-duty as the MBRP, but is almost invisible when you remove the cross-bar.

go with the gobi rack, you can still take the freedom panels out. Before putting the rack on - take the satelite antenna and move it or you will get next to no reception because of the faraday grid set by the expanded metal rack. I put the antenna under the front cowling jus next to the windshield motor
