Roof Racks on Soft tops?

Hey guys, new member here and i have a question regarding roof racks...
Is there a rack that i can put on my 2dr JK with a soft top on? The point of this being that i can put the top on or off without having to remove the rack...

Any help is appreciated!

If you spend lots of money or lots and lots you can have a cage/rack system that essentially surrounds the top and allows the top to be raised or lowered. Just google congo cage or roof rack jk or look at quadratec - they have lots of stuff and if you PM them on the forum they will give you a quote. Good luck - i am personally probably going to buy the quick on/off roof rack mounts for summer (they only work with top down)

LOD has a new sliding rack out that you don't have to remove to put the top up and down. The four door version was just released about a month ago. The two door should be out soon. There is a thread with all of the info on here.

Garmin makes one called the Expedition rack and it tilts back so you can put the top up/down. It's not cheap though...

I have the gobi stealth rack.

1. No drill install.
2. You can angle the rack backwards and put the top FULLY down.
3. Sunrider mode is NOT possible.
4. During snow storms, I just put rafters on the rack to protect the soft top.

HTH.

This was my first choice but due to number 3 above, we could not get it. We went with the Sherpa. Great rack and much cheaper. This was the only one that would allow #3. If #3 is not important, then the Gobi is an awesome rack.

Sunrider works on the 2 door Gobi models, from what I've read.

There are also the Wild Boar ones:

I am pretty sure you can open the Sunrider.
