Selling Stock Rubicon Wheels

I'm looking to sell my Stock Rubicon Wheels and BF Goodrich Mud Terrains. Friends say I should put them on Craig's List. Any advice on what I should price them at? 5000 miles on the tires, 2000 on the wheels.

There are already two sets on eBay. One has been bid up to $1025 for the set. The other has a "Buy it now" price of $1700.

Most Rubicon take-offs sell for around $1,000 from what I have seen.

I've been looking to buy exactly that. Just talked to someone today selling theirs with 30k miles and their trying to get $700. That felt a bit steep. $1000 for what you've got feels a bit more in the ballpark.

They are worth 900-1000 on the market.

Mark it at $499 and see if you move them.

Thanks, Guys! This board is full of knowledge. I'm a noobie, and can use any/all advice that you guys can give. Next part of the question; looking at my jeep, would you go with 33's or 35's?

That is without a doubt the coolest fng jeep I have ever seen. Nice work! Don't be like some of the llamas on here trying to sell sh1t for 10% less than retail and thinking you'll get it. You'll get no more than a grand for a new set of rubi takeoffs.

You seem to be upset that you haven't found a set at a low, low price Jonx.

We here at WF don't set or represent the entire market for parts. Check Craigslist and you'll find people getting around $1,000 for new Rubi take-offs.

Hey Jonx, my 2013 Rubi take-offs will be for sale October 1 with only 120 miles on them.

I'll cut you a deal and let you get them for $999.

Shipped to my door and it's a deal. They are worth a grand as I said but not a penny more and IMO 900 is more like it.

I bought a set (5) of 2012 with 100 miles on them for $800. Yes, that's tires and wheels. They are not worth more than $1000. The wheels have no intrinsic value and new tires with a warranty would go for about $250.

I have a question for the OP. How can you have 5k miles on the tires and 2k miles on the wheels?

I bought a set of 5 for $800 wheels, tires and TPMS w/ 3K miles on craigslist. I could have found some cheaper without TPMS.

You might get better price on ebay but you will have to deal with the shipping and pay the ebay and paypal fee, you can try doing local pick up only to avoid dealing with shipping but might take longer to sell for a good price.

LOL Daggo! Good question though. I replaced the stock Rubi wheels with the custom painted Fuels you see in the pictures. The stock BF Goodrich M/T's are on the jeep still.

Thanks, jOnx!. Seems like the consensus on here is to keep the tire/wheel combination under $1000 on Craigslist. I checked out what was for sale in my area last night. One guy had a set of 5 listed for $1400.00. Most others though were under a grand.

No offense but if you price everything out:

(5) 255/75/17 BFG KM's : $1170 total Shipped (Tirerack.com)
(5) TPMS Sensors : $75 total shipped (eBay)
(5) 2013 Rubicon Rims : $100 ea.. (eBay)

Then why is $1500-$1600 too much to ask? you are getting tires that are mounted, balanced with TPMS installed etc.. that are new off of a Jeep with 10 miles (at least in my case) Seems to me you are saving some decent money... Personally if I cant get $1250 + Shipping for mine, I will take them apart and sell it all separately..

255 not 245. If I'm paying that close to retail I'm buying better wheels and I'm getting a warranty. If I buy from a private party, it had better be a good deal to cover my risk.

Sorry for the Typo.. I understand not paying full blown retail for the stuff, but claiming all this stuff is worth less than just the tires alone is ridiculous.

I recall there was a guy around here a few months back with an Arctic. He came on looking for pricing help with his stock Arctic wheels/tires. Very much like this thread.

Of course, we all knew that the Arctic tires were identical to the Rubi tires. And we all knew that the Arctic wheels were identical to the Rubi wheels, but just painted black.

As I recall, he asked a dealer what it'd cost to get them from the dealer, and insisted pricing them just shy of that. I think the dealer wanted over $2k, and he wanted to sell them for $1900 or some such thing. Crazy numbers. Nobody would pay that we all said--after all, any potential buyer could just pick up a Rubi set for under $1k and hit them with some black plasti-dip and have the same thing.

So we all laughed . . . but then he sold them for $1900. There's one born every minute.

You have a very limited customer base to sell to. Jk wrangler owners who do not have a Rubicon and don't want larger tires and some wk owners. I had the sport s tires/wheels. Therefore the wheels had zero value to me. I could buy a set of 4 brand new km's for $1000 and pick up a single used spare from cl for next to nothing. Paying someone that much or more makes no sense. The market bears this out. They typically sell for $800 to $1000.

Look at the completed items on eBay you can find sets of Jeep Rims selling all day long for $500 and sets of tires for $1000.. TPMS for $75.. it may be better to just part them out.. Being that the 2013 Rubicon rims are new this year, they may sell better than the Rubicon rims of old that there are 4000 sets for sale out there.

Surf craigs list. Ive seen sets of 5 go for 250. Ive seen high list around 1000. Nobody wants oem with the garbage backspace. Discount Tire sells new for around 125 a rim. Your choice on style, better backspace for bigger tires also if you so choose.

2013 set just sold on eBay for $1142 plus $130 shipping.. so my asking $1250 for mine is not unreasonable.. I still maintain $900 shipped is way low.

Here's hoping the market will be kind to those of us selling these.

Yeah right he sold them. Or so he says. Nobody in their right mind pays more than a grand for rubi takeoffs Or 500 for sport s takeoffs. But like you said, there is one born every minute. I'll pay someone 999 for '13 rubi takeoffs delivered to my door and not a penny more.

Fair enough. I did find the thread: (https://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/arc...er-139637.html)

Claims he sold them for $1700. Crazy.
