I attended the JT reveal at the Los Angeles Auto Show this morning: I was struck by how long it is. JT adds 1.5 feet behind the rear doors, and another 2 feet in rear overhang.

Here is a side view of it. Be prepared to be waving for a very loooong time.

I think it should be renamed either the Treep or Juck.

With that departure angle, there are going to be some seriously pushed up/damaged tail gates!!!

Yes...WAVE! I am a traditionalist, keep the wave going.

Wow it is going to have a hard time climbing some of the streets around here without hitting that tail on the ground.

If it's a Jeep, and it has a solid front axle, I'm going to wave. (Especially if it's modded)

I'll wave. I also wave at any one that waves at me.
I've found that the Wrangler owners that don't wave are either older (I'm 54), or the "mall crawler" owners. I still wave though.
Just like when I used to ride a bike. I waved at all bikes. Didn't matter the make. Mopeds, no.

With wider roads and more traffic in each lane it is harder to wave as most of my attention is focused on my side of the road nowadays.

I still wave when I can and usually we get wave in return but the other Jeep drivers are focused too on traffic (or cell phones radio display, doing makeup, reading the early morning business reports, looking down to grab their latte, or just distracted).

I know I waved, and that is all that matters to me. To the OP YES, I will wave to the new Jeepers on the block as well.
jaysong, NCWillys and schumway like this.

JK sometimes gets wave backs. XJ (Cleadus) is lifted, dented, chopped and rusty. Most people stare at me like I definitely dont know you lol. But I get waves from redneck chevys and the like. And I stare at them like I definitely dont know you lol

I'm supposed to wave...????

I've only had my Wrangler for 3 weeks, and now I find out that Jeep guys wave too.....???

Been riding Harleys since 1977, and lately I can't drive anywhere without a bunch of Harley "bikers" waving at me.... I try not to be rude, but I can't wave at all of them.. Sometimes I just want to ride...

My car used to be a place I could relax, and now I find out I'm gonna have to wave in my car too...?????

I wonder how much a used Toyota Corolla costs? They don't wave, do they...?

SO you are asking if you should JEEP wave to a Jeep truck?

I don't care what it is Jeep I will wave or be on the look out for a wave back.

I will be waving at Gladiators, as I wave at every Wrangler I see. It is a Jeep, people that are buying this will be entering the JEEP community, thus they SHOULD wave back.... Will they..... my fingers are crossed!

Should we wave at Jeep Gladiators?

I wave out of a sense of camaraderie, and courtesy to others, whether or not it’s another Wrangler. And also for this reason.

It would be cool if they did the split front windshield like the old ones.

I rarely wave unless I know the owner. Just because someone drives a jeep does not mean they are worthy of a wave. Matt lauer drives a wrangler as do many other freaks and chomos.

I'd wave. Mostly because it looks like a Jeep when it's coming right at you.

I wave to all Wranglers, not so much hoping to get a return, but, like when riding the Fatboy (bike, not me.... well, yeah), it's an aknowlegement of shared experiences.

So, from Mopeds to trikes (tho I draw the line at the Slingshot, unless the "driver" is wearing a helmet), and any year or model of Wrangler, I wave!

I'm withdrawing my reply. While I don't consider this a wrangler, and will not go out of my to wave, I do appreciate the effort by the manufacturer.

For me this was a huge let down. For some reason, in my head, this was going to be a rugged looking two (2) door with a utilitarian design.

I now realize that should not have been expected.

Your point is also fair, I guess it kind of depends on who actually buys the JT. Will Wrangler owners upgrade? Or will truck owners come over? I tend to feel like it's going to be the former, but it's hard to say.
City dwellers are plain rude they don't even know they are doing it un intentionally.
