Soft Top For Newbies

Been reading the forum for months and I have learned so much from the experienced JK owners and thought that when I had something of relevance to offer I wanted to. Well the time has come.
I was very nervous about switching from my hardtop to my soft top. The switch went pretty effortlessly except when it came time to putting my soft top up.
So here is my advice.
When installing the soft top for the first time try and do it when it's warmer then 65 degrees.
It's a little tricky but if you check you tube there are a ton of videos on how to's.
The two things I can offer for the best advice is don't be afraid to really pull down on the back corners when clipping the sails in. Be sure to only partially clip the front clips.
Second piece of advice is when installing the soft top by yourself it's a little tricky and a fight getting started. I found that if you put down the back seat and climb into the tub area you can very easily get the top to click into the sunrider clips and then you can go about the rest of the install. I had to get my 5 5ft wife to help and that usually ended in a fight of some sort. Now I can take the top down in under 10minutes including rolling the windows in a clover patch window roll and strapping it to the roll bar. Install including the clover patch unroll usually about 12 minutes.
Hope this helps someone out. And remember if you are doing it by yourself climb in the back to help get the top started. I can say be patient you will get better at it after a few times.
