Speaker upgrade for girlfriends 2015 JKU with base sound system

Hi Everyone,

First and foremost, thank you all for taking the time to read and help me with this issue. I recently upgraded the sound on my 2001 Sahara TJ, and after hearing it, my girlfriend wants to upgrade her 2015 JKU. Her sound is terrible, I can't believe they are allowed to leave the factory like that. Oh well. My question is, aside from the kicker speaker upgrades, what will fit relatively well in her jeep? I don't mind cutting, crimping, etc. I was thinking of the following

4 x 6.5 inch coaxial speakers for dash and sound bar
4 x 3.5 inch coaxial speakers for dash and sound bar

Is there anything in particular I have to look for, aside from the 4ohm rating? Do I need brackets, or will these oem size replacements fit? Any other advise? I am considering upgrading her head unit with a touch screen, but don't know if her budget would allow for it just yet.

Thanks for all the help!

get pillow stuffing from a crafts supply store and fill the sound bar up, helps a lot with the sound.. i can't remember what the speaker sizes were its been 6 years for me... i did the fronts with separate tweeters/mids there are stereo threads on here about different installs. if you have installed in other vehicles, the wrangler is pretty easy to work on.

PM @Pressurized on this forum for some tips on what you want to do. 77kick10's with 77kick25ab's is a good low-cost option for some folks (like me) who like to listen to their music. If your girl needs to 'feel' the music, your going to need an amp and a sub. Again, Pressurized would be a great help in you choices without breaking the bank.
