Tailgate spot weld problem?

Even the slightest bump in the road will make this noise. I've taken the whole Tailgate apart. It sounds like it's clicking from the inside closest to the hinges. Lmk what you think and if there is a fix!

Usually caused by hanging too heavy tire/wheel combo on stock hinges.. It breaks the spot welds in the tailgate causing what you are hearing. The stock hinge allows the weight of the tire to hang on the tailgate, not the more sturdy area of the tub/hinge mount or bumper.

This is the reason for the upgraded hinges like the teraflex & clones, or a bumper mounted spare holder.

Edit: Fix AFAIK is a new or repaired tailgate

Appreciate your response. I have an aftermarket tire carrier but not hinges.
