TeraFlex 1.5 leveling kit in hand! First real exterior mod!

It's not much, but this was my step before ordering my MB72s and DuraTracs or the AT KOs.

I hope I can figure out the install! Looks simple enough.

Any suggestions other than getting a bigger lift? I have everything but the body jacks.

Nice choice Don, did you get the coil or spacer lift by them?

You really want a hydraulic floor jack if you don't have one. Doing it with the stock scissor jack or a bottle jack will be miserable.

Consider heading over to Q-tec's website and downloading the install instructions for the AEV 2" budget boost. The installs will be similar and those instructions are really well done. They'll make a good supplement. (Of course, in the event of a conflict, follow the T-flex directions!)

Spacer kit. That will work for the tires (you have) I want to get, yes?

If you say no, I might just ask my wife to kick the chair out from under me.

You'll be able to run ESP's tires/wheels with that kit. Might rub the fenders on full stuff. But for streets and light off roading, I think you'll be good to go.

Just the fronts? Not worried @ them, I have stubby kit on way. The rears won't rub, will they?

Front fender flares, not bumper. The flares are the things above the tire your turn signal is embedded in.

You'll have a quarter inch more lift than ESP in the rear, and a half inch more in the front. I recall him saying--and he'll correct me I'm sure if I've got it screwed up--is that he's rubbed is front flares a handful of times while wheeling. You'll have an extra half inch, so it should be less for you if at all. I don't recall him mentioning the rears.

The TF 1.5 kit is going to put enough room up front for your new wheels and tires. I wish I had gone with either a 2" or a 2.5" instead of the 3/4" I've got because as MTH mentioned, I've rubbed the front climbing over things and the rear has rubbed from just driving through ruts on the trails. The problem is that 33s on a 15x8 wheel sit out pretty wide. It looks great but you're cutting your flex room to move way down. The tire is sitting outside of the wheel well which does not provide the clearance you had when the tires were stuck up under and could travel up INTO the flare area without contact. Don't worry, I'd be willing to bet your going to have more than enough room with the kit you've got and your going to love your jeep more than you know once its all installed.

You can see how they are in this pic and some guy admiring my rig.

Yea, I spent the last hour watching you tube vids from Rausch Creek which is not that far from me.

I cannot wait. Ad I am working on buying a set of take off rubi rockers to replace the ones on this sahara, should be somewhat better for protection than my son or wife's ability to get in. They are an upgrade, yes?

Yes. You will however lose your step.

I'm considering the same thing though. One notable point is that Ace Rock Rails (best bang for the buck available) will fit OVER the stock Rubi sliders. So you can do both eventually, which would provide a lot of protection AND a step.

I'm jealous about being that close to Rausch. That place is great and I've got a very good friend that wheels there all the time. His name is ThinkMud on the forum here. Send him a PM and get up with him sometime our there. Here is a video of him a while back. Front green JKU on 35s. The rubi rockers are good I think but I've seen people come down on them hard and the crack the first time. Better than your frame but I think you can find better if that's true.

It's ok, I'm a guy, I don't care what you look like, just what your jeep looks like.

I will definitely have to get some forum folks to meet me there when I am ready to give it a go. It looks insane. But I'll be sticking to the bunny trails for sure.

Oh wait, the T-flex kit is 2" up front and 1" in the rear, right? Not 1.5" and 1"?

You'll be good on rubbing in the front. You'll have a full 1.25" on ESP.

Yep. They give you the option in the box to not stack the fronts and just keep the Manu rake by adding 1" to front and back, but that won't happen.

Jeeps look good both ways but if any thing, the rake helps some in wind resistance.
