The BEST Softop for 4 Door Wrangler - Need your sales pitch!

I have a 2010 Sahara Wrangler. I've been looking to get a soft top since I got one. I'm moving to Arizona in the fall, so I know I'll have a ton of uses for one. Here's what I'm looking for, and I was really hoping some people could help with some suggestions to get me the best one.

1) Quick Removal of top
2) Safe from leaks
3) A bonus would be one that I can flip back just the first section like the freedom top..

Anyone have good suggestions? Would love to hear the reasons why as well.

Thanks guys!

I have no experience with JK's but I think the Trektop looks awesome on them.

I'd go with the TrekTop.

Yes, that looks like a great option. I've never seen one of those in person actually, but they are sweet. I think I'll go with that top when I decide to get one in the fall. I love the slanted design on the back, I think that looks great.

The Bestop Sunrider does this. They make the oem soft top. You can probably find a good deal from someone selling one.

I have the stock sunrider soft top. I like it. I don't have any experience with the Trek Top but just looking at it I would probably miss the extra room in the rear caused by the abbreviated back portion. I like the ability to put the top open in the front with the sunrider feature. When it is closed up the only time it has leaked was because of my own maladjustment of it. If it leaks on my door handles I simply check for what I did wrong, re-do it and the leak is gone. My rack I found out is incompatible with my sunrider top. I have the Congo Cage rack and it is suppose to tilt back to allow for the sunrider top to open. I tilt it back, use the included metal stands that hold the rack in the up position and can't swing the top back because it won't clear the rack.

I'm going to have to get over to their web site to see if I'm doing something wrong with the rack. Other than that, I love the top...not totally happy with the rack. Although it is a beast and has traveled well with 4 heavy kayaks from Mass. to Florida. So mixed feelings on the rack.

You can roll back just the top part of a Trektop on the four door model. It obviously doesn't "flip" like a Sunrider (no frame), but it rolls and has straps to hold it in place.

Geoff... Thanks for commenting on the Trektop. I'm close to ordering one for my four-door. It looks like a great summer alternative to the hardtop. One person's review mentions difficulty re-attaching the header after having it rolled back. They said they had to undo it from the back to get the header forward and re-attached. I also know there have been some updates to the top that may have corrected some things. Is this a known issue?

They detached the header, but when it came time to reattach it, it was too tight, so they had to undo all the back fabric first. Yeah, I can believe that. Especially on a new tight top on a colder day. It will loosen a bit as it sits on the Jeep, and you will be able to use the "sunroof" feature.

You know what our top two complaints are? 1) Top is too tight, 2) Top is too lose.

The last updates for the top were over a year ago, and mostly involved adding the tailgate bar. The Trektop is actually on nationwide backorder, so you will not get "old stock." You'll get one practically made to order.

wow, lots of great comments. I agree with the comment on losing some space with the Trektop. That's actually a valid point, because I pack a lot of equipment in the back of mine, because I'm a full time musician, so that might be a selling point of getting the OEM Softop. However, I do love the looks of the trektop. All very good options.

Thanks for the help.
