LOL... I have a 04 civic that I keep around as an alt as it's in excellent condition and owes me nothing... It also has a burn hole in the back seat from when a miss-flick ended up in the backseat instead of outside from about 7 years ago. I haven't smoked in 6 years or so.... It still pisses me off too!

Congrats on putting down those stinky lung-darts!

Just like every other topic this thread goes so far off the rails at times you would be hard pressed to know it was a seat cover thread.
Then some how it gets back on track and never dies.

Got mine installed and took em on a trip in snow, wet, dirt, etc.. performed great, comfortable, good fit. I wish they were a bit tighter on the back of the front seats but I don't know if you could make it much so and still fit them over the originals.

I'd say they are better than leather or vinyl, about the same as the original cloth seats... much better than neoprene.

They paid a lot of money for that name. Or better put- for the old one. They used to be Trek Armor. Until (the bike co.) Trek and Under Armour sued them. Because those companies were struggling I suppose. Mitch was a little bitter- so I am sure they want that logo wherever they can put it.

Doesn't mean I still want it on every surface of my Jeeps interior.

I'd pay the "custom stitching" fee, for a blank, logoless seat cover.

They haven't replied to either of my emails, but just based on feedback from other owners, I might be better off custom stitching a Jeep or Wrangler logo on them.

If I recall correctly they would not do no logos, and on custom added words they couldn't do Jeep or Rubicon.

Has anyone had any issues with the stitching on the inside of the seat covers wearing into the seat fabric itself. I read a review where the person writing it had this issue. Just wondering if it was an installation issue on their part, manufacturing issue or if the issue is non existent. I really like these covers and want some for my JK.

No issue whatsoever. Never heard of anyone having it.
Order them. You won't regret it. My Shittybuilt covers lasted less than a year in the California sun. Had my Bartact's for I am guessing 5 years and they still look great. Either my windows are out or my top is down 60% of the time. (Red. An earlier post mentioned the camo./desert colors aren't guaranteed from fade as long.)
Here is my tip for anyone installing these: a good, heavy metal spatula is your best friend. Use it to push the upper and lower Bartact sections thru the upper and lower seat split. Not a flimsy spatula- but a good solid metal one. It'll push it through even if your Velcro gets stuck together. Your fingertips will thank you.

It's certainly not extremely hard to install, but God forbid you have a couple hangnails or dry finger skin, you're going to be a mess afterwards! The hard wood spatula or spoon idea sounds perfect, I also found setting the seat at just the right angle maximises the space available to feed it through. Someone else mentioned sort of wrapping a plastic bag around the flaps and they would slide right through. I did none of this and it still only took be a few minutes per seat. Pulling, tightening, adjusting the tie downs, cutting the headrest holes, I spent more time on those to get it just right.

I bought my jeep new in 2015 and installed the covers on the third or forth day. They had just switched their name from form trek armor to Bartact. I requested trek armor but they did not have enough for all four seats. I have black and the stitched logo is barely noticeable. One of the best add ons.

Bartact covers it is. Just need to decide on solid black or silver/grey inserts. My 17 JK is silver.

Personally I think the contrast insert looks so much better. I went black outer, grey insert, colored stitching

Funny, on mine I had originally ordered Black with Blue inserts directly from Bartact.

AFTER the order was in, the confirmation stated allow 2 - 6 weeks for delivery!

I waited a week, the sent them an email asking if 6 weeks was real, they came right back and said it was because they were out of blue inserts but had the grey in stock and could ship immediately. DOH!

I changed my order.

Bartact looks nice! But only dark colors (or dark with some white). Recommendations for tan/kkhi/light? A bit warm in FL summer for the dark seats...

When I ordered mine I asked and they would not do without their logo.

I just had mine out in the direct sun for 3 hours and jumped right in with shorts on, barely warmer than ambient air. I cant speak for Florida but in CA they were no problem so far. Black with grey insert.

You can get them in coyote as a primary color.

Thanks. I lived in SoCal a while, and it was not to bad. In FL, the sun is a lot more intense, especially by the water. In the summer it is an oven down here...

Thanks. Looks like some, but not all, have that as a color option. FIgures the one I picked did not. I will have to contact them and see if sold out, or just not offered...

They get about as warm as stock cloth seats. they do not get hot, and I am frequently topless/door less in 105-122 degree Arizona

Thanks. Looking for cooler than that. Also the car heats up, so thinking lighter color seats will help with that as well...
