Anyone use TrueCar to help get their vehicle? It seems to have all the information I want, but they also want a lot of private info before sending to participating dealerships.

I used Truecar when I purchased my 2014 JKU Sport. Paid $28,600 for it. $2000 less than the other dealers I went to. There was no haggling or waiting hours for the salesman to "go see the manager" BS. I believe it was worth it, but I would shop other dealers first and then compare the Truecar price. Good luck

That sounds like a good deal if it had some options. I used the 1% below invoice pricing with the Treadlightly discount. I still had to find one with the right options to buy though.

When I was shopping, the Truecar dealer's price was the highest. In other words, just walking in from the street into any other dealer got me a lower price right off the bat.

Plus the Truecar dealer wanted to tack on $500 for "documentation".

Obviously, the Truecar dealer was the first dealer to get crossed right off my list.

Yes!

Check out the Chrysler Affiliates Rewards program. You might be eligible through your employer, or, you can join Tread Lightly at the $100 level and become eligible. Chrysler guarantees/enforces a 1% under the real factory invoice price and strictly limits other dealer charges.

Check it our here: chrysleraffiliates.com

And here: Tread Lightly – Individual

Best no hassle way to buy, IMO. :thumb:

A few dealerships that TrueCar said had the vehicle with the color and options contacted me. It turns out they don't even have these vehicles. So either I was misled by TrueCar or the dealerships provided false information. Buying a Jeep shouldn't be so difficult.

Car salesmen will do whatever they can do to close the deal. Honest or not.
Knowledge is power.
I used the Chrysler affiliate deal for my Oscar-Mike. I had to take the bug-guard as they had already put it on, but it was my choice to buy or walk away. If your not prepared to walk away, then the dealer has the advantage.
