If it smells of beer and pot, US made.

If it smells of tequila and pot, Mexico.

Or, if it's still running, US.

The engine number is on the rear of the block, just below the cylinder head. If you get in there with a flashlight and mirror, you should be able to see it.

Just look for some Corona caps in the engine bay.

No. Pi$$ beer strictly for export. That would be US made, too.

Window sticker has a statement of origin. It includes where engine was made.

Apparently, a batch of Mexico-made 3.8Ls had the piston rings installed upside-down and burn a lot of oil... I have no idea if the report/story is true though.... Somebody here will know.

Has anyone compared their window sticker against the engine block? My sticker--like UHB's--states the engine originated in the "US" and the transmission in "DE" (Germany). I'd be surprised if the block states any different, but if I get the chance to look I'll check it out this weekend.

Mine coulda been made in Tijuana, I don't really give a rats---

After three years, of flawless performance, doesn't use any oil-never stalls/stutters/surges-

I've got no interest in the origin, any problems will be handled by me and CHRYSLER CORP. !
