Same here (I hope). I updated my iPhone to 11.0.2 and at first I had to re-pair it to the 430N, no big deal but still getting audio drop outs and occasional stuttering, maybe even worse than before.

Today I removed my iPhone from UConnect, removed UConnect from my iPhone, and (here's the important part) performed a "Reset Network Settings" on my iPhone. Once that was done, I re-paired it to 430N and (so far with ~an hour of listening) no more drop outs or stuttering! Hopefully I have not jinxed it, but it is behaving way better than it's ever been. But ... still very slow to connect Bluetooth, but I'll take the improved audio.

On iPhone, Reset Network Settings is under Settings/ General/ Reset. This does not erase the phone, but does some sort of reset to the internal radio chips, including Bluetooth.

*** You will have to re-pair any other Bluetooth devices so maybe delete them all from the iPhone first, then Reset Network Settings. Also, you will have to sign back in to any Wi-Fi Networks that you use. ***

Well that was short-lived ... drop-outs gradually came back, very seldom at first but now back again every 10 minutes or so.

Yeah I tried what you suggested and still get them every +/-15 minutes. Very annoying.

Can anyone confirm the skips or dropouts donít happen with an iPhone running current iOS on aftermarket Alpine or Pioneer head units?

I have the stock stereo system with my 2017 Sahara. Iím getting the short dropouts with my iPhone 7+ every 10 minutes or so too. My iPhone has the latest 11.0.03 software. In my opinion uconnect is a piece of ****. Never had any issues like this with my VWís and Audiís. In todayís day and age Chrysler canít make a good Bluetooth radio? Unreal. Yeah Iím a little bitter too cuz my Jeep is only 4 weeks old and itís already had the computer replaced and the exhaust realigned as it was out of position and rattling. Itís spent almost as much time at the dealership as on the road. Iím not impressed with the Jeep.

For those with either factory connectivity issues or lack of Bluetooth they have some options that you can plug into your aux. I picked up one of these off eBay and they work great for the money. Audio actually comes in clearer than the factory Sirius/Xm.

Unbelievable timing with your post, I tried a similar thing I had around the house yesterday morning driving to work and home. Zero skips or pauses in 2 hours of driving. Something that really surprised me was a song came up in my Apple Music playlist shuffle that had video. The timing of video to music was perfectly synchronized. I tried it again with the stock head unit Bluetooth and it was way out of sync. Tried it again with the USB in the console and it was also a little out of sync. I bought this Bluetooth device and heavy duty short aux cord more than 3 years ago from Amazon for under $20. Only issue with this device that will keep me from using it regularly is it doesnít automatically connect when I leave it plugged in and turn the Jeep on, I have to pull it out and plug it back in which makes a loud noise through the speakers. That and the Plastic cover thing they put on the HU to cover the USB opening always seems like itís ready to break and fall off and is difficult to get it to stay in sometimes. Point of my post is that this cheap 3 year old technology works better than the crappy Bluetooth they put in a 2016 JKU HU.

I sold my '15 JKU with the 730n. Is there a way to easily erase all of my folders/contents, or must I delete each one manually? Thanks.

If you press the (2) seek buttons and the Menu button at the same time you go into "Engineer Mode" From there you can cycle down to the master reset button and it will erase everything and reset the radio to the factory settings.

Thanks very much! Do you know whether Engineer Mode would allow me to copy my folders/contents to a USB stick?

Besides the Apple uselessness with uConnect, I am now experiencing volume issues. Installed latest iPhone update, re-paired my phone to uConnect and to hear anything on a mobile to mobile call, I have to turn it up to max volume. Forget about freeway speed. I have Hot Heads liners in with deadening tape. Zero difference. Between this and the constant cutouts with my Sirius, I'm pissed about the amount of money I paid Chrysler that could have gone to a 3rd party installer for a much nicer kit. Off to the dealer again. Oh, 2017 Sahara with 430n.

Anybody know if it's possible to make the phone or uconnect button operate google assistant instead of the crappy unconnect voice assistant?

Highly, highly doubtful unless there's a 3rd party hack. You're better off with "OK Google" to get what you're after, but of course you'd have to be using AUX input (wired or Bluetooth).

As an Android user, I'm curious if Bluetooth audio drop-outs are (still) an issue? On my iPhone I've tried turning off cellular completely so that I'm using only Bluetooth and I still get audio drop-outs with the 430N, so it does not appear to be cellular interference.

I've not had any problem. On my 6P with Android 8.0 Bluetooth is great. It will cut in and out when it first establishes connection, but it's great after the first 5 seconds. If I have Play Music running (music paused) on my phone, it even starts playing automatically.

Anyone having problems playing music over the uconnect iphone/USB input using the latest 11.2 iOS that came out on Friday? I'm using an iPhone X and previously had no issues playing music. Since the update I can't skip tracks with the steering wheel controls (the basic 2012 non-touchscreen + uconnect/bluetooth/satellite radio). I figured out it will work if I pick up the phone and let the new FaceID unlock it, but I can only assume an 8 or earlier would display the same behavior and require fingerprint or PIN unlock. If I try to skip a track the radio just hangs until the phone unlocks. I don't see any settings in the phone that would be affecting this.

Edit: bluetooth works just fine still but I prefer the USB input due to being able to select tracks, random, etc.

Ok my problem seems to actually be something with the Uconnect system. Does anyone know if there are any updates for the Uconnect module on a 2012 without a touchscreen that can be applied (either by me or the dealer?). Turns out it's not a lock/unlock thing but if I just wake the phone up with the power button the track skip will work fine while the screen is on. My wife's 2015 Altima doesn't have any problems with it still. I can only assume this latest iOS update has finally broken full compatibility with my nearly 6 year old version of Uconnect and even if there are no recent updates maybe something between when I bought it and now will fix it.

uConnect has a page that you can download updates from. (They do provide updates for systems with 130 radios).

https://www.driveuconnect.com/suppor...re-update.html

Enter your serial number and it will let you know if there are any updates. If there is an update, download it and install it on the radio. (There are tutorials on the site that tell you how to do this.

Guess I'm out of luck, it says no updates. So I'm guessing one isn't coming either if there's been no updates for it in 5 years now. Guess my options are new radio or go bluetooth and not have the extra functionality. Anyone else with iOS 11.2 experiencing this?

My uconnect is pretty terrible too, though my complaints have more to do with just the system rather than issues encountered. It feels so outdated...like it belongs on a 15-year old car. When someone calls me, it literally takes 7 seconds from the time I hear it ringing to the time it actually connects us. It's got the latest software and there have been no issues with new phone updates, it's just really, really, annoyingly slow.

I still get worried when a call comes in. After accepting the call: I start saying Hello... Hello... Hello... until someone on the other end replies.
