Unable to use Siri option

I have a 2015 JKUR. Why can't I use the Siri option on my 730? Every Time I talk to Siri to do a search, the 730 will dial the phone number of my cell. Is there a fix for this?

Siri itself won't work with the stock radios out of the box. There is a $20 software modification you can buy that will allow you to use it, but even with that, it still simulates a call to use Bluetooth to make it work.

To me the $20 was well spent. I tried to search to link the thread for you but search is currently not working. I did post it in another thread earlier this morning. I'll try to find it for you.

I found it...

This is a custom software update for Siri that was not written by Chrysler or their Uconnect providers. This update was written by a programmer who works with this software on a daily basis, but not FOR them. I think he may work for a cellular company.

Xsdbs is helping jeep people get the software update from his friend, pretty much because we all asked him to. He's big in all the Uconnect/Bluetooth/cellular threads and helping people find answers that Uconnect won't. He's an awesome guy! Anyway, there was a thread when iOS 8 came out and people were talking about all the things they were disappointed in and he asked if he could get his friend's fix, would we be willing to pay $20 for it. Several of us have, and as far as I know, everyone has been happy with it.

I seriously wonder if the dealer would even notice the difference in the version number... Of course I can't guarantee that, but it wasn't enough to keep me from adding it.

Try this thread:

That particular post has a link to a YouTube video he made that shows the update in action. But scan through the rest of the thread and get a feel for what others here on WF think about it.

Thank you very much!

I hope that information at least helps make your stereo and Siri work more they way you wanted, if not perfectly.

Thanks StarBrite, I have had several people ask about this patch working with the 730N radio, Unfortunately, this patch will only work on the externally mounted Uconnect module which is used with the following radios only:
RES, REQ, RHB & RBZ

There are 3 different Uconnect Suppliers because of the several different radios that are offered by Chrysler. The SW writing and versions are completely different in each of the 3 suppliers.

No problem at all StarBrite. I'm not sure if I had mentioned that before.
