On Friday, we replaced the track bar. And re-aligned the front end.

Haven't put it on the Jeep yet, since it's still only about 30 degrees here, but I did cut this this morning to go on the back bumper under the spare.

It seemed pretty fitting after a Patriot driver asked me what kind of mileage I get, lol.

Just got my rig back from getting a variety of things done but I am BEYOND blown away with the PSC ram assist steering. Its not cheap but if you are debating adding this to your rig - DO IT!!! The steering is tight and responsive - no more dead spot between 11:00 and 1:00 on the wheel and no more wandering within the lane. I am breaking in new gears and won't be able to hit the trails this weekend but I can't wait to see use this set up on the trail.

A close second is the Metalcloak Duroflex adjustable control arms that replaced my original lift CAs. These Metalcloaks have greatly improved the ride and handling of my Jeep beyond what I expected (and I expected a lot given the reviews). I wish I had installed a Gamechanger from the get go as I now need a rear adjustable control arm to clear a new differential cover.

I also got Dynatrac ProGrips installed and am very pleased with the capable and even braking power these things gave my heavy Jeep (despite keeping the stock booster and cylinder). There are several good brake alternatives out there but I can't say enough about these discs/pads.

What did you do to your JK today?

The MIL and ABS indicators lit up yesterday and I ran a scan tool to see what was going on. The C1015 and U140A both pointed to the front right wheel speed sensor. I checked it out and discovered a spot where the wiring rubbed along the inner wheel.
I taped the bare area and then went overboard. First I rotated the clips more upward to avoid contact. I added a small diameter piece of wiring loom covered the wiring and a larger diameter piece covered both the wiring and brake line. It is all secured with monofilament tape.
Not pretty but a little extra soft armor is now where it is needed. The repair pictures are from the left side. It only took another 5 minutes to inspect and improve both sides.

Any chance you can do a write up or parts list, etc??

I've been wanting to do this to mine but not really sure how to approach it.

thanks.

New tie rod and steering stabilizer. Now just need to get Stormbringer's front wheels aligned. I tried the driveway method, but I'd like to dial it in to maximize the life of my Ridge Grapplers.

Got my vinyl on today.

The windshield banner used to say A Little Dirt Never Hurt, but Time Well Wasted was my original thought for it and I finally decided to go with it.

Pixeldecal Day

It was Pixeldecal day for me.

Put the Jeep Dogpaw Wave on both left and right mirrors:

They are reflective, night shot:

And a repeat of the decal I had on my 2011 Rubicon, updated for my 2018 JKU:

Finished installing the cb above the mirror. What a pain in the butt. Came out great though. Clean install. Just gotta tune it a bit better. Uniden 510xl and a hustler antenna. Have a fire stick 3 foot as well. The hustler gets better reception though.

Got my Warn Elite full width bumper on. Didn't like the way my old winch looked against all the new, so I will paint it and install it another day.

Installed the Mopar headliner. Maybe kinda sorta improved the sound of the stereo? Same on the wind noise, but it's a Wrangler and still pretty noisy at 75 mph. Mainly got it for thermal insulation, maybe it'll be hot on the next trip to Death Valley in a couple weeks to test it out.

I finally got around to getting my doors off using a floor jack, my teenager and a lot of patience.

Removed the corroded pieces of crap Jeep uses and replaced with Derlin liners - https://amzn.to/2pBQOFI

Went for my first ever doors-off joy ride with the boys and instantly was addicted, though it was chilly at only about 45 degrees. Found a pile of snow to check articulation...

Installed a Barricade mesh grille insert picked up on eBay through Extreme Terrains clearing house. Was supposed to be missing a bolt and nut, it wasnít :-) Saved about $30

Checked torque on all four spacers that were installed last weekend. No issues there. All-in-all, a very productive day.

Why did you need the floor jack to get the doors off, just corrosion?
Did you use wood under the door?

I changed my oil and replaced my oil pressure sender. My first ever oil change, ridiculously easy to do, and I'm comfortable that I did it better than any Jiffy Lube etc would have done. Also good to find out that my local AutoZone takes used motor oil (I just brought in my full drain pan and they emptied it, they also took the used filter and all the empty oil bottles. very handy.

The oil pressure sender is a bit of a pain. Nothing difficult about the job, except for how hard it is to get to the darn thing. Getting the socket on it was ok, but so hard to get fingers in there to disconnect the connector, and working the ratchet on the socket was challenging. Anyway, all done, and feeling smug and self-satisfied.
