Cleaned up the interior from all the dust from the dirt road that I live on to get it ready for the new windshield tomorrow. I have to take off the 50" because the mounting bracket is too close to the window and they take it off. Both the company and myself prefer to place any damage to the light on me haha.

Plugged in the Ancel AD410 that I bought from Amazon for $32 and found code P0455. EVAP System leak (large). Cleared the code, googled the code, looked it up here. Maybe it was just the gas cap. Will wait and see if it codes again, then look further. At least it wasn’t something really serious.

I've fixed a few gas cap issues and shared this with a few friends that had success as well, long term success. If you suspect or find it to be the gas cap, clean the gasket on the gas cap, and the mating lip of the fill neck. Apply a thin coat of silicone dielectric grease to the gasket, and wipe it in a bit. Then gas up and use the cap. Problem solved long term in at least 6 cars over the years now. HTH helps someone.

I had a similar issue when I bought the drake gas cap. I just replaced the rubber gasket on the drake with the original rubber gasket from my oem cap. No issues and itís been a couple years.

Just hit 100,000 miles last week. Just got done changing the engine oil, diff's, transmission and transfer case fluids. Replaced the Serpentine belt, spark plugs and wires, PCV valve and did a 5 tire rotation. Ready for the next 100,000 miles.

Typical ash gray faded hard top on a ‘98... Happened across something called “New Wipe”. What the heck gave it a try. She looks SO much better! (And no hard waxing elbow grease!)

Sold my 2015 JKU Sahara

I will miss this Sahara. Loved the striking Tank green with Saddle leather combo, the smooth ride from the Mopar lift, the assurance of the rear TrueTrac, and the unsolicited compliments it got me from perfect strangers.

This is the 7th Wrangler I sell; every time I am amazed at how well they hold their value.

Lately every time it rained the engine would misfire and my check engine light would come on, but once it was warmed up it would run fine. So yesterday I put new plugs and wires on it and this morning ( It was Raining) it fired up with no issues.

That'll teach ya to not get oil changes at the dealership.

How do you like it? Have you tested it out on the highway? I have one still in the box also in black. I will install this weekend. I have the same color Jeep. From your picture, it looks pretty sweet.

I like it a lot. Itís very well made and after you get all the straps adjusted, on the three pieces itís pretty tight all the way around. Iíve had it out on the highway a few times so far and I havenít heard it making any noise or flapping. Throw a pic up when you get yours on.

Reseated one of my rear springs which was off kilter, probably due to enthusiastic flexing; the Jeep was leaning to the right.

Thanks, will do. The hardest part is probably removing the hardtop. Still summer weather here in SoCal till the end of Sept, so off it goes. Here is a current picture of how she looks right now.
