Did you do anything to secure the back? I have had bounce on me a few times. Thought about adding a brace from back to the seat frame or making something for the back to sit on.

I ordered Metacloak’s 3.5” true dual rate lift. It’s been a long time coming and now I just have to wait patiently for it to come in.

Great to know- any chance you have the height from the ground to the highest point of the roof- (looks like your top is level) with my soft top the highest point is the roll bar-

Trying to see if it will fit in my short garage - lol

Also curious what side rails you have on it? Trying to decide which to go with-

6ft with the sunrider closed-highest point and 6'3 with the sunrider open-hihhest point.
Ace rails, I really like those because I could leave the rock sliders that came with the Willys on the jeep and the Ace rail is a comfortable spot for my foot when the doors are off (I have the foot pegs too but prefer the Ace rail).
If you get the Ace Rails consider adding a strip of 3m traction tape to the top side like I did. It makes a world of difference. Kevin.

Alternatively, just spay some anti-skid truck bedliner paint once a year like I do.

Those ACE rails are awesome. They WILL take the weight of the whole jeep on a rock, day in and day out.

I did not. The back is resting gently on the carpet and it is not too flimsy. Even if I bounce it, it does not go high enough to contact the seat rails or to rattle. I have not offroaded with it yet, but itís been fine on surface streets and highways.

Mine was around $495 from the dealer and then I had to pay another $130 to have it installed. If it lasts I’m ok with that.

Don't you have the option to add a bolt in the middle that goes through the floorboard?

Got her new wheels and tires.

The OE Recon wheels and tires with only 1,500 miles will go on Craigslist.

Took it to the dealer yesterday to have the 100k service done, minus the difs and coolant. Wanted them to also replace the PVc valve but the declined saying I had too many electrical wires in the way. Guess I'll do it myself here shortly. And they messed up the oil. The 2012 calls for 5w30 and they put in 5w20. Shortly after leaving the dealer the check engine light came on with code p0113. Went back to dealer and got both fixed. Dealer experience ok. Not great though.

If it is more than $0 then it be a waste. $0 deductible and up to 1 windshield a year.

two-year limited warranty.

"Mopar warrants your windshield from damage associated with road debris such as pebbles or other small objects which may cause initial damage larger than a US quarter (1 inch/25mm) and less than 3 inches/7.6 cm. Larger instances or smaller blemishes, along with the subsequent cracking that may be caused by not repairing them, are not covered by this warranty."

Yeah the star is dime sized and would not be covered. This is a horseshit scam. I never had any bigger than an inch.

Added a USB port to my A-pillar for my magnetic Qi phone charger.
I use Google maps instead of the factory nav, so now I have it in a convenient spot.

Good question, I installed mine about 3 years ago and don't recall having the bolt. I may have to take a look

Traded my factory soft top and a few bucks (well, maybe a little more than a few) and got a hard top. I like this so much better. I can actually hear myself think when doing more than 30 mph (maybe not a great thing).

I saw this very video and that's why I questioned the third bolt.
Thing is I dont know why Tuffy doesn't add two more supports that lead to the rear two seat bolts. Seems to be a no brainer to me.

I'm not buying something that's going to rattle every time I hit a bump because of poor engineering.

Edit: The one made for the TJ has the rear supports. WTF Tuffy?

Already bought and installed the rear Adams Drive shift, so it only make sense to buy the front. Just waiting for the Arizona temps to drop before I spend any time in the garage.

I would have thought they would have designed it like that too. On mine I only installed the two seat bolts ( at the time my Jeep was only a week new to me) did not want to drill holes in the old girl. I haven't experienced any rattles.

Look into professional chip repair. If the guy is good, you wont even know where it was and it lasts forever. Never had a problem with one coming undone.
