Every other section has this stickied so I thought I would start one. Forgive me if its in there already but I could not find it.
Anyway here's what I did.
After removing the different cover for a routine fluid change I decided to paint the cover, it needed a little touching up so I thought I would go ahead and paint it red. I already had some farm equipment paint on hand, I'm pretty sure it will hold up to any temps that might be reached.

They put a new trannie in Tuesday. Was in town when all the dash lights started flickering off and on. I stopped, smoke was coming from under the hood. I opened it and the main harness was on fire. Grabbed my extinguisher from the back (God I am so so glad I bought it), put out the fire. So wire harness fried, big pool of trannie or pwr steering fluid under the driver side behind the bumper. Jeep towed it and are working on it. Hell if I didn't have that extinguisher it would have scragged the whole bloody jeep.

Take a hint, invest in one cause I NEVER thought I'd need it but by golly I did. No pics I'm afraid.

I know. Still not sure if I'm pissed, mad, sad or relieved. Only visible damage is the melted wiring by the battery. Have to replace the whole damn harness and that's not including the wiring for winch and lighting. No clue as to what caused it or if its related to the new trannie instal done wrong or why I was loosing so much fluid on the opposite side of the engine compartment.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
But no serious damage. Full coverage ins beside what Jeep has to repair. My jeeps gonna be a bloody study case.

Put new horns in a few days ago but today all I did was put a set of golf clubs in it and drove them to the golf course. Wouldn't call what I did after that playing golf but it was good exercise.
