Finished the LED Lighting

Sadly, I got the LED Lighting all installed and was pretty happy when the check engine light came on again. Then the tranny went into neutral on its own and back to the dealer I went...

In Silverton. Don't d Ophir pass and Imogene pass. Had supper in Ouray. Trees are turning nicely. We are at a campground on the east side of Silverton. Nights get a little chilly.

A day of tinkering:

Changed my engine oil and filter and inspected the dealers installation of my Adams front drive shaft. They passed. I also did a voltage usage check on my 2 month old stock 600 amp battery. Seems like I am going to need that ODYSSEY Extreme Series™ battery sooner than I expected due to the extra draw from the ARB Fridge. The winch won't complain about a better battery either.

Installed the JeepsNeeds EZ Plate front license plate. 5 Star on this one.

Checked my tire pressure using the just arrived JeepsNeeds Hurricane 4 tire inflation/deflation device. 3 Star on this one. I love the fact that reinflated tires are exactly the same pressure, but setting it up and inflating the tires is NOT FAST! Just equal. I guess speed will come with practice.

Installed a Flowmaster Outlaw axle back muffler. Sounds pretty good for a V6.

So, on another note, what bumper is that you have there?

4 wheel tire rotation, and installed the rubicon express top mount steering stabilizer I found in the basement that I forgot I'd bought over the winter.

No instructions in the box but I figured it out.

Steering feels much tighter now and the shimmy is gone when going over bumps at speed.

Put White Reflective flags from Pixel Decals on my Jeep.

The Rubicon letters are more of a light grey than white. So at some angles
the flags and the letters match closely but at others the flags really stand out.

My wife complained that it was too hard to get in without side steps. She's very short.

Had some issues with my soft top as detailed in other posts. The back sails would come loose when the windows were out and fly around behind me and in trying to fix that, I managed to pull the wire out of one side of the top so there was a spot over the driver's door that was just not really attached at all. It all still worked, but the top was definitely not in ideal shape. A couple weeks ago started watching facebook market and craigslist for cheap tops to replace it with. Found one last night that had a picture of a Sport 2 door with the vinyl top that said it was in good shape and it looked clean enough in the picture and he only wanted $125 for it so I messaged him. Went to go pick it up tonight.

As it turned out, the picture he put up was not actually his Jeep. He actually had a Sahara with the cool twill top and tinted windows. He pretty much just left the soft top sitting under his hard top the whole time since he bought his Jeep new and it's just been sitting there in his way so he wanted to get rid of it. It's in perfect shape and everything smells of new. So for $125 I got a shiny new twill top. Deal of the century!

Got my SB stingray hood(10a) and cowl panel back from paint. Weird seeing shiny paint instead of the bedliner haha. Since the curved tops of the fender are still bedlined, I have the mirror ding hiders to put on. I have to wait for the passenger side because they might replace the whole fender from the hail damage. Only $650 to paint both pieces, no too bad. Atleast next time I get hailed on, might be able to PDR it. The only thing is that the RR latches hit the paint. I tired about 20 min to adjust and just going to hit them with a grinder lightly. Oh yeah, since they want $90 per hinge, i left them bedlined and going to do the door hinges for a lil contrast.

The two tone idea is now out to rest.

Anyone else having issues with the gallery pages?
