Sold it! Going to miss my JK. Not sure why I do this but I just got it where I want it and then I go and buy a JL. Good news Iím still in a Jeep. Ended up going from a 2016 JKU hard top to a 2018 JLU soft top. Also switch from an auto to a manual. I decided this time around to do the stick. Ive never actually Off roaded with a stick but looking forward to the challenge. Here is a pic. It was dark when all said and done but Iíll post some new pics tomorrow. They are swapping my old wheels to my new one, just bought those and didnít want to give that up.

Friday we installed a new Kenwood Media Receiver, kicker front and rear 6.5Ē, kicker amp, and hideaway. We couldnít get the soundbar speakers to work. Not sure why as it was getting late. Iíll try to figure that out on Friday. The aftermarket equipment is a huge step above factory.

Today I installed a set of 33ís and rims. Iím an idiot and thought the center caps went on after. So, I get to take them off and fix that.

Sometime this week I will cut the transmission cooler rubber hose line off and replace it with a new line and hose clamps. Iíve seen a few videos of people doing it and it working. Instead of replacing the entire line. Hoping that fixes the small leak I have.

Fair enough! I installed some knock-off Grabars up front for my wife: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07D498Y27
Happy wife, happy life. She already hates my Jeep enough because of all the money I spend on it ... I don't need to give her more reasons!

I made an appointment to have the cooling system flushed. I just bought it with 64k miles. The heat is working well, but I want to have a good baseline since the CarFax lists regular oil changes but no cooling system maintenance.

First post, been lurking since I got my 2018 JKU Golden Eagle 6 months ago. Did my first mod today. Added a Quadratec Stealth 12S winch on a Maximus winch plate. Also took the "ears" off of my Recon bumper and added a Mopar brush guard.

What did you do to your JK today?

I decided to leave the suspension the way it is, with the Tereflex performance leveling kit.
So today, I ordered a set of Bilstein shocks, and a set of Dick Cepek Trail Country EXP All Terrain Tire.
Iíll install them on the new rims, and keep the stock rims for the winter.

I finally drove a few miles on the new tires today. That was a pretty rough ride. Checked the tire pressure and they were 47-50PSI. Lowered them to around 33 and it was a much better ride.

I have to take the Jeep to a tire shop to get one of the tires rebalanced. 4wd mounted and balanced tires and all the weights came off one of the tires. I’ll have them lower the PSI to 32” on all tires. All I had was a tiny junk gauge.

Toss the pen style garbage gauge and get yourself something half way decent. I've found this gauge to be very good quality for the money.

https://www.amazon.com/JACO-ElitePro...ct_top?ie=UTF8

I also have gauges that cost twice that but this performs just as well.

Finished moving my ham radio from beside my leg to above the rear view mirror. I really like the look up where it is now and the cables tuck away really nicely.

I took it in for the coolant flush. The shop was going to use a generic OAT coolant. I insisted they use Mopar so I’d have no issues with my FCA warranty. They did and I ended up paying much more than I had planned 😞 Cheap insurance, I guess.

Removed my rusted Rugged Ridge taillight guards.

These things are useless anyway and I've come to realize they're more of a poser accessory. And they make it hard to clean the salt off the taillights in winter.
