Took it the coin wash to powerwash all the mud off of the undercarriage after Tuesdays trail trip.

...the next person that goes into that bay is not gonna be happy.

Not today but yesterday. New front uppers and an Adams driveshaft. Tested it out and got to 80 with zero vibration so I figured it was good to go.

Sent from somewhere in Missouri

I picked them up from Amazon Wearhouse deals. they are McGard, paid $60.00 for the install kit and 4 extra lug nuts. The installer kit gave me 5 locking lug nuts (learned my lesson with the OEM locks, never again!) So need the 4 pack also. Now I have 2 extra lug nuts in the Jeep .

Also finished up the grill area. Painted the headlight rings and the grill insert. I think it turned out good.

I swapped my hood latches in my 2017 in like 20 minutes. I'm not sure what's happening with people who had a hard time with it. Maybe corroded?

Sitting here at Lambert's in Claremont NH, waiting to have my exhaust clamp replaced. The bolts turned basically to powder and last night they let go.
As usual, Lambert's comes through and gets me an appointment the afternoon I called because it is safety related. @JeepCares
Follow up. Turned out drivers side bolts were toast, as I knew, but passenger were pretty bad too, so they did them too. All told, after a 10% discount coupon, it cost me $78. Love these guys.

My own.

I’ve gotta add info to build thread. Initial plate, version 1 if you will (pic below) was flat. Fitting/elbow coming off manifold was not only touching carpet, but pushing into it. With as much heat as this compressor produces, I was not comfortable being in contact with carpet. If there was a tiny gap, I could have slipped an old welding glove in there, but is was pushing into carpet. Something that MORE and Teraflex don’t tell you. The 2nd pic below is from a company that recessed it. CMM bracket goes on top of the slider, which gets you the clearance, BUT the. The compressor slides with the seat.

New battery. Went on vacation for a couple of days and came back to find it just wouldn't start. Jump started it to go to work and had a light show all the way. It was like a disco. Every light on the dash alternately flashing complete with warning bells for sound effects. Drove to work anyway hoping against hope that it would come back, but of course that's now how these things play out. Had to jump it to drive the 10 miles home. Then spent the rest of the evening tracking down a new battery. Things are now back to normal. Can't believe four days sitting could produce such a response. Maybe it wanted to let me know how much it missed me.

Got a crack in my windshield. I've already had 3 chips/cracks repaired in under 2 years and less than 22k miles since buying the Jeep; looks like it's a whole new windshield now.

What did you do to your JK today?

Well I have been looking at different exhaust systems for my JK all week and couldn’t make my mind up. I took the muffler off today to see how it sounded and I was surprised at how nice it was. It actually sounds pretty good as is. If I go to high rpm it can get to sound a bit like a rice burner, but I never really have it in the higher revs anyway. I’m going to live with it a week or two and decide where to go with it.

Changed transmission fluid and filter, changed front dif fluid, changed transfer case fluid. I've got a new to me Jeep (87k miles - 2.5k are mine) and over this past week I have replaced/flushed/bled every fluid (except wiper and power steering - that looked brand new). Now it'll be really easy to know intervals of everything.

In my limited experience, I like them. They're both (front and rear) heavy and solid, the exterior welds look pretty decent to me, and fitment was pretty perfect. Struggled a bit with the rear bumper, but that was because I was doing it all by myself. I did the front by myself too, but it was much easier for some reason.

If I had to find fault with them, it would be in the powder coat. There were a couple of places that seemed kinda thin to me. A couple of spots where it looked like the coat was chipped off. No big deal, just shot some rattle can bedliner on those spots and it looks good.

I've only had the front bumper on about 3 weeks (I think?) and no indication of rust although we've had buckets and buckets of rain since then. Rear bumper just this past week, and it looks good also. For the price, I think they came out pretty good. I've had pretty good luck so far with cheaper products knock on wood! *knock knock knock*

Ran wires and installed my back up camera on my spare tire mount. Still waiting on the head unit to come, stupid PayPal got paranoid and I had to verify my account so everything is taking much longer than normal. It was pretty easy to do with the carpet out! All told, took about 30 minutes from when I started taking the spare off. Might go back in and run coax for a CB for when I put the top back on.

Anyone else leave their CBs attached in their Jeeps with the tops off?

I have the teraflex fixed sports arms (all eight) from the previous lift on it now. Supposedly they are good for 2-3” lift. Ill probably set the Evo arms for the same lengths and take it in for a proper alignment. It drives nice as is. Haven’t been over 70mph yet though.

5 tire rotation and 1.5" spacer install. Oil change later today.

I think I need a track bar. My 2" spacer lift seems to be shifting the front axle to the drivers side.

As it should. With 2", you do need an adjustable track bar.
