Finished for a bit

Haven't decided if rivets are getting painted yet (probably).

The difference between tube doors and having skinz is HUGE. you can actually feel the heater and less road noise as well as a lot less wind at 80mph...

I think it looks great the way it is, but I bet it would look good all blacked out too.

Well done!

Bullcrew, those look awesome!

As for the rivets, I'm a black-them-out kind of guy. I've done that with all the exposed hardware on my rig.

There are a ton of them on those doors. If I may be so bold, it is approaching the bedazzled-Jeep territory.

Nice work though. Love the result.

No worries I'm on the fence but all blacked out gets old especially when you wheel here...our jeeps (those of us that run them hard) get dents, scratches missing paint etc....
We are headed to johnson valley Saturday to run clawhammer and chocolate thunder which will either be next weeks fix list I'm sure so good looking schemes get work,ed fast.

Heck I almost did t paid t em they'll be hammered after tds.

I have a 2013 JKU with a stick, and got tired of the delay lifting my foot out from under the pedals at a light to press of the clutch. No room for a dead pedal, so I simply bolted in a 2 inch angle bracket to the door-strap mount. Some electrical tape, and voila!

Much more comfortable for stop and go footwork.

Other low $ modification was a piece of hose around the rear seatbelt latch. I can get my daughter buckled in without fishing for the latch behind the carseat. It stands up by itself.

Spent the day under the jeep going over it with a fine tooth comb.
Both hub assemblys on the front are gone
U joints are shot
Both drive shafts need retubed
Crosmember and skid plates under tranny and tcase are scrap
And the PS pump is not sounding so hot

Bad things happen when a 6000lb jeep falls 4 feet and lands on a rock the size of a small car. Hope to have it back togher in two weeks or so.

Nope it was at the end of the day. Had been on countless big rocks all day long. I have lots of picks of the rest of the guys in our group on big rocks though.

Three days on the trails before we had to do the pit crew thing. Saw lots of rigs, only one other group of jeeps, and mine was the only JK we seen.

Got some 4 door Rubicon rock rails, and started measuring them up, and tomorrow I'll start cutting them down to fit my 2 door.
I remember seeing a write up on this at one point, but I cant find it now, so I may post one.

Installed my Ace Rock Sliders and Mopar sill guards. No pictures as I finished in the typical "after dark" method.
