what to do when you need back seat latches and no one actually sells them?

And i see no reason to spend a grand on a whole seat? The latches for the back of the back seat on my 2 door were junk and i alrrady threw them away only to find out mopar doesnt sell anything seperately.

I wonder if i could use hood latches. I was also thinking about old school center seat belts. If its safe as a seatbelt its safe if mounted properly.

Really sick of not having a back seat. Lets not even mention it was like that when i bought it and the dealer had the nerve to try to charge me 2 hours of labor just to unlatch it. I should throw the seat through their damn window.

But yeah, how do i fix this?

I'm not sure what the latches look like. Pic of where they should be?

I can get a pic tomorrow. dont quite remember what they look like but theyre on the back of the back seat and latch to bars in the floor and release via cables when you fold the back seat, and allow it to tumble.

Breakers? Upholstery tends to be crappy on older vehicles, they might be willing to take parts off a knackered old rear seat if they have one.

Is the release for the latches on the top center of the seat?

I dont think any jks are going to be too crappy. Ive been looking but all anyone has is yjs around here. And theyre totally stripped. If you have a lead let me know.

Kind of. The top center release only allows the seat back to fold forward. The folding forward itself pulls the cables to unlatch these latches.

My parts source shows the latches/cables etc available without buying the whole seat. If you want to PM your VIN I will research more.
