you will need to use a 1/4 spacer. I had the Moral Tempos 6 and sent them back to crutchfield and got the JBL 609. The JBL's are more punchy and have great highs.. The Morals are clean but meant to be installed with a full system with a good sub. Trust me, in the Jeep environment, you wont like the Moral's Try the JBL, Memphis, or JL Audio components. The JBL will fit.. Poly fill your enclosures too.

I like my Morel's just fine. And if you did not have enough power to drive the Tempo's then of course the JBL's will be more punchy, it take 30 less watts to drive them.

Pretty much all aftermarket speakers are intended to be used with a subwoofer- you don't want 6.5"- 6.75" aftermarket speakers trying to play "full range" below about 80hz and down towards subwoofer frequencies.

Stock speakers will often do a better job of hinting at lower frequencies than aftermarket speakers will- they are designed to please the approximately 80% of vehicle owners who never upgrade their audio systems.

I drive my speakers with JL Audio HD900/5 - Plenty of power. I like the Morels , in fact i enjoyed the hell out of them, sitting in my driveway. The minute i started driving in the the noisy jeep, lost all the crispness and the clarity. After reading several articles, i found the Morels are meant for really quite cabin environment. I was stubborn though and decided to spend the $$ on them anyway.. Lesson learned and thank god Crutchfield let me return them.. I ran into a guy that had the Memphis 6.25 components and those are nice. Their on my bucket list.
