Where to mount my auxiliary lights on/off switch?

I've got a pair of ARB Intensity Auxiliary Lights on order. I'll have to drill a hole through the firewall to run the on/off light switch harness.

Any suggestions on a good spot?

I'm thinking of putting it just to the left or right of the mesh pocket below the heating/cooling/vent selection buttons, then tucking the mouse-type switch into the pocket.

Do you have to drill a hole for these lights? They have spots you can pass them through. That's What I used for my lights.

This is the route that I went, but then I've got more than the single switch too.

There is a spot to easily pass through the firewall on the driver's side up under the dash. If you crawl up under there, you should see the styrofoam cover/ blocker that can easily be pushed aside by a straightened out coat hanger, it pop out in the engine compartment just below the master cylinder.

If you check out my build thread, there are links to where I bought my switches, etc.

I ran all my wires through that squishy spot where a clutch pedal would go on a manual, perfect spot for them as well as easy access to a number of driver side switch locations.

I mounted my switches above the driver side speaker (posts 29-30) here:

No need to drill, run through the rubber grommet on the driver side. Snakes down to pedals. Be sure to reseal the grommet properly though !
