Go with the 285/65R18. It measures just under a 33(32.6in) and you shouldn't have any rubbing issues.

I would go with 275/70/18s, that is what I have on my Tundra, they look pretty tall. I have 285/70/17s on my Jeep, they are equivelant to the 285/65/18s, and they look smaller.

Why do people on this forum always say smaller wheels even when that is not the OP's question...

Who cares? It wasn't the question. Btw the best kind of JK is a 4 door JK. I know thats just my opinion and its unrelated to the convo and you didn't ask but just throwing it out there for no reason.

there are no 4-door JK....they named those "JKU"....

now that tire size..... the largest Kelly Safari TSRs I could stuff under mine without issues, was 275/65R18....and then a tiny adjust to the bump stop to keep full-lock turn from touching.

I'm satisfied on the tire choice and the rim size. YMMV.

Getting wheel spacers? You will rub with both sizes on a stock rim when turning as they are both just over 11in wide

they are essetially 32.5x11's, not really that much taller then the 32's that come stock on the JK's however they are wider.

PS: your picture doesn't work

Yeah on the stock rims.. Anything 11in and over won't work.. Not saying they don't fit it's just that when you turn they will rub noticeably

This^^^^^. They will fit, but they're going to rub. And people always say go with a smaller rim bc tires for an 18" rim are overpriced. We had 17" on the rubi. The tires we got were over $400 each in a 17". By going to a 15" we got the same tire for $265. And I'm talking Mickey T's, not cheapos.

But if that's what you want, go for it. Just don't get mad at the response when an opinion is asked for.

And directed at the other post made by another, technically the jk can go more places than a jku simply due to being shorter. I prefer jku too but it has nothing to do with being better than a jk bc it's not. It just has more room.

Argue it all day long but when it comes down to it a jk can take a much tighter trail without taking damage than a jku. It's simple physics.

I think you missed the entire point of my statement. Lets keep the thread on topic.

Nothing wrong with bigger rims, but for the 18"rims you need to run about a 36" tall tire to maintain the proper side wall height ratio.

I did not post a picture, the 275/70/18s are about .5" to .75" taller than the 285/65/18s they are also a little narrower which is an advantage if you are putting them on stock wheels.

Ok here it goes ....
Spoke w tire discount ....the stock wheels are garbage ..meaning off set Sux and there very narrow....7.5 width

I'm just gonna go with ...xD series addicts ...18. And 285/65 Nittograppler

They are wide 9 inch wheels that wil easily fit those tires w no problems

So for future refrence. The stock wheels are sucky offset

285's may rub without wheels spacer on stock wheels. It's a boardline tire but most will rub the sway bar. Has to do with width not height. If you don't want to change wheels or add spacers, I would buy 275/70/18's. Should have no issues with that tire at all

Just fyi, when you change to a different offset and go wider your tires are going to extend beyond your fenders.

Didn't see this post. If you are getting new wheels then the 285/65's will be fine. Get 0 offset wheels. You can get about any negative offset but that will stick your wheels out further. 0 offset will work for tires up to 315's

If you are looking for other options I went with the 17" Rugged Ridge wheels and put 285/70R17 Terra Graplers on them. No rubbing and Summit Racing was shipping all 4 wheels for $13 when I ordered.
