Will a 2 door hardtop fit in 6' pickup bed??

Hey people.
I have a chance to pick up a hard top for my 2 door JK.
Does anyone know if a 2 door JK hard top will fit in the bed of a 6' box pickup?
All I can do is estimate the size of the top, does anyone know for sure?
Has anyone done it?

Typical full-size pickups have at least 48"-51" of space between the wheel wells.

I don’t think it will. I had the opprotunity to pick up a free hard top from a JK. I used a trailer to transport it.
Why don't you drive to get it without a top on your Jeep and put it on when you get there?

Thanks, but the pickup is sitting in my yard, it's the hard top I'm not sure of the dimensions.
54" between wheel wells, and 74" long

The guy lost all the hardware. Supposedly the top was put in storage in 2013, and I don't want to mess around with bolts nuts and washers, although it would be better than dragging a trailer

From 2017 w/ freedom tops...

26" H
64" W (driver to passenger)
74" L (nose to tail)

Without freedom tops, it's just under 48" long.

Yes, it will. Sold mine a couple of years ago and the buyer turned it sideways straddling the wheel wells.

I was able to transport a jk hardtop in the back of my 2000 s10 pick up. It was a step aside bed and the bed had a tool box, so the length was about 5 feet. Tailgate had to be left down.

Don't have the truck or hardtop anymore.

The bed of my Wrangler pickup is 4' wide and with the cargo box just behind the cab there's less than 5' left in bed and a 2-door JK hardtop can be transported in a bed that size. It does stick out a bit on one side, but I brought the one in this photo home to upstate NY from New Jersey, a distance of about 200 miles...

You don't have to stress over the hardware (which you will need anyway), just purchase one of the kits, like this:

Thanks Jeff. Seeing that JKU top in your pickup makes me quite confident the JK top will fit in our Ram.
Your pickup looks awesome!!!

No stress here man, stressing was totally eliminated from my life during three tours in Vietnam.

I saw those kits on QT but thank you for the heads up anyway, I'll get one coming tomorrow if I decide to get this guys top.

Yep, that's the way it was loaded. Buyer's PU wasn't a step side so it didn't hang over as the one in the photo. I also provided the buyer my can of touch up paint.

A view of the side overhang... it sticks out only a little bit further than the fenders.

Just 6 bolts. It would take 2 min to put it on.
