Looks like the Renegade to me. Also looks like a wishbone front suspension, will be costly to lift.

Some people might be tired of driving lifted vehicles. I’m headed that way. I don’t even know what a stock Wrangler drives like anymore.

Awesome. I'd consider one, but not to replace my Jeep. This would be my mall crawler.

If that is it I would need to see it in person. It looks a bit like a cross between H3, FJ Cruiser, and Renegade.

Specs and price point would be nice. I think I'm already priced out of this but it is still good info to have! LOL

Has similar looks to an old Ford Exploder, just shorter.

A high revving turbo 4 - NO
A high revving V6 - NO
A no range hybrid - NO

I have always owned Fords and still do but I refuse to drink the koolaid and buy into the little motor idea.

Offer a V8...then you have competition with FCA.

Thanks for your insightful feedback.

IMO it has very similar front end features.

How? Other than they both have a grill, headlights and a bumper.

FCA does not offer a V-8.
I need a second vehicle soon and would LOVE this with a gas/hybrid technology.

How long until someone does a solid axle swap on one? I bet it won't take long at all.

I was thinking the same thing. There are plasma cutters chomping at the bit to melt metal on one of these.

It will probably go anywhere a 4 runner or JeepGC can go. Wrangler,,,no way. No 38's will fit. It's not going after the hard core 4x4 market. It can do the Rubicon just like the GC will do it. It will be nicer ride, quieter, better mpg, and just overall better everywhere but serious off road. Bronco doesn't have to be the best off road, it just has to sell the best. We'll let marketing make it look like it is a serious off roader.

That's interesting. I finally had my airbag recall done since it being October and all, I put some doors and windows in and didn't have to worry about being subject to weather anymore if I booked a couple weeks out.

I walked the lot the entire time. That's what I do, I love cars/trucks etc. I kept looking at the JL's and saying "hey this is neat". Then I would look at the sticker and see that 4cyl turbo diesel. All of a sudden it wasn't so neat anymore, especially for the insane prices I saw. I get what they are doing but I personally want no part of it.

Shoot if I could snap my fingers and have the good old 4.0L in my JK instead of the 3.6, I'd even do that in a second. No way I would trust a turbo diesel from FCA - ever. You'll see me buy a lotus turbo esprit first, it would probably be just about as reliable.

UGH,, the new 4 cyl turbo is not a diesel. Better go check the stickers again.

Ummm Ok that's even worse then. I just walked away as soon as I saw 4 cyl each time and assumed it must be a diesel. Haven't been following the JL because I haven't really wanted one yet.

It hasn't been confirmed to be IFS yet. One of the test mules did have a solid front axle, although it was only spotted once from what I remember.

I like that look. The engine offerings circulating would probably be the deal killer for me. I'd really have to do someone homework, and I'd never touch the first year of any new automobile platform. I'll let the early adopters work out the bugs before I jump in.

Based on the rendering shown here it it IFS.

Agreed, but that rendering is fan art, not from Ford. The new Bronco won't have the mirrors mounted on the door either. They will be body mounted so that when the door is removed the mirror remains.

To any question about the new Bronco the official answer is,,, we don't really know. Ford will tell us when they are ready, not spy shots or a magazine best guess. This is exactly what we did with the JL and just as much fun.
