Didn't buy a new Bronco in '71 because I thought they were ugly......still do.

I will not touch another IFS vehicle with a 10 foot pole. If they want to pay homeage, they would stick to the old skeleton, update with multilink SFA.

I've had 4x4 all my life and never had a IFS. Just too many moving parts that wear out. If the new Bronco has IFS somebody better pass out the forks and spoons. They will be eating them. Please don't remind me the Raptor is IFS.

I would so be all over a good IFS set up as long as it could run at least 34" tires without to much fuss. for the kind of wheeling I do IFS would be fine. I have never been on a trail yet that IFS could not do and perhaps even do better than what I am running now. I am not buying the won't hold up argument. My buddy has a Lexus 470 (same as Toyo LC) with over 250,000 miles and that thing is tight as can be and looks like new underneath.

The big problem with IFS at least in production vehicles is the fixed length travel. You can lift them to install larger tires but the travel remains the same.

Not all IFS is created equal.

But they could screw it up too. We don't know yet. We're like CNN when they can't get close to a situation so they just babble on about crap they don't know.

With today safety regs we will never get a production vehicle with a buggy type IFS. It is just not in the cards.

Darn, it looks like they're sticking with a long wheelbase and not a lot of breakover angle.

Like I said before, it seriously resembles my 2009 Kia Sorento. My Kia feels sporty and fun to drive, so I'm still willing to buy a 2-door Ford Sorento. Was just hoping for a bit more offroad capability.

Competition in sales or offroading?

I think the JL will still sale a lot of vehicles. The new bronco (concept) looks really good, but I'll stick to my jeeps.

Offroadwise, I dont think the bronco will offroad as well as the JK or JL.
Maybe a little better than the ranger.

Looks like they want to compete with the new Blazer. Wrangler isn't a problem. If that's the thing they build after all the hype about it being like the original Bronco. Basically a Ranger with a bigger cab.

Per this article from road and track the roof and doors are removable which makes it interesting even if it canít hang with a JK or JL in extreme off-road conditions.

By the time you get all the options it will probably be north of $60K. I refuse to pay another 10% sales tax on that. Thankful I have a nice JK and keeping it.

Wow if thats it I might have to seriously consider. Hopefully there is real competition and pressure to cut back prices on both the Bronco and Wrangler. But I suspect that they will just reinforce each other's already inflated prices.

well is consumers would tell the manufactures where to shove the high price tags for bare bones base model vehicles and stop buying them just because that would be a good start is the correct direction, but you seem to have lots of people going "oooo Jeep pretty I want and don't care what price it is"

I like the Bronco and had the OBS Bronco ('95 version with the '96 model year improvements) and loved it and would gladly buy another bronco if Ford ever comes out with one, but not at the ridiculous $60K price point for something with basic every thing.....sorry

I think in order to establish itself in the market as competition to the wrangler Ford is going to have to price it similarly. Maybe the raptor version theyíre planning will go north or 60k but regular raptors do that now anyways.

Either way I think it will be a damn sight better than the 2021 Trailblazer that Chevy is coming out with. JFC what a waste of the blazer namesake.

That looks nice! Unfortunately, the un-camouflaged photos look computer generated, just like the millions of “photos” before.

This thread started 15 months ago. Besides more cammo and CG photos, little has changed in that time. Honestly, this has to be the most ridiculous wait in the history of humankind.
