Hey guys,
I repaint my rock sliders every year because they'll rust where the paint is chipped off. I expect that on the bottom where I drag them across rocks and stuff but notice I also get it a lot on the leading edges where I imagine the front tires are sandblasting them on dirt roads and stuff.
A few days ago I put on the Mopar front splash guards. The coverage looks great and I expect they'll do their job well.
They're almost certainly going to hit things when wheeling though. My question is this... what will happen when they do?
Will they just bend up and flap back down? Will they bend and crack? Or, and this is what worries me... will they push up the whole fender and trash it?
I figured they'd be easy enough to remove when wheeling but they're not THAT easy to remove. They use 3 of those Christmas tree plugs and one of the screws just goes into the plastic fender so removing and reinstalling that a few times won't do it any favours.
Anyone have them? Anyone seen what happens when you land them on a rock?
