Putting a sub in a Wrangler is f*cking retarded for a couple reasons. First you're just asking to get it stolen and have damage done to it. Second everyone around you will hear it just as much as you, it's just obnoxious.
Adding a sub to balance out your system is definitely NOT RETARDED. Mine is in a tuffy enclosure so it won't be stolen. I happen to like the full sound that a sub provides. Not everyone blasts a sub because they have one. Just ignore less than helpful posts.
+1. Only I didn't bother with a Tuffy. Subs are relatively cheap, and if that's what they focus their attention on stealing rather than my HU I'm ok with that. Plus, I've got an alarm with internal motion sensors and an LED indicator remote so I should be ok.
Nobody likes the "THUMPA THUMPA" coming from the vehicle next to you at a stoplight. I got that. But having a sub enhances the sound quality at all levels of volume and doesn't have to be blasted to be very much appreciated.
I just installed a Kenwood KSC SW11 under my front seat, as far as I know it's the only powered sub that will go there. Three reasons. 1. it's out of sight. it doesn't take up valuable trunk space, 3. it fills in the bass perfectly, ya get a good thump but it's not overpowering. No need to announce your arrival 3 blocks away.
