Windows Vent Visors. Which ones do you have?

I've had side vent visors on most of my other vehicles. Trying to decide if I want them for my Jeep. They come in handy when it's raining or really hot and the Jeep sits for hours.

If you have any, which ones and why? Are they in channel or not? Not really sure of advantages/disadvantages of in channel vs. "regular" or whatever they're called.

I have in channel on my truck, and they look and work great. Advantage is there is no tape to worry about. Not sure if in channel would work on JK/JKU, as my rear truck windows go on with tape.

Personally, I do not like they way they look on Jeeps I have seen.

Weather tech. I smoke, so when it is raining i need them. Only problem is when taking the doors off, you need to be mindful of them

I like to keep my windows down or at least partially down and it rains a lot here.

So I bought a pair of Rugged Ridge window visors from Extreme Terrain. Reasonably happy with them. Installed via double sided tape and don't appear to be going anywhere any time soon.

I think of them as one of those simple pieces of kit that serves both form and function. I tend not to notice them unless it's raining, and then I think "Oh yeah, I'm glad I got those."

I have a set of the Auto Ventshade in channel ones that work very well. I have had no issues with them. As was stated above, when going doorless, you need to be mindful of the easily broken plastic sticking out of the window.

AVS in channel. Half the price of Weathertech and do the exact same thing. Only issue I have is the passenger side has a bit of rattle when the window is open just below the vent visor. Gonna take it out and replace the double back foam with a little thicker piece.

Quadratec branded vent visors here. They are in channel design and very good price 49.99 before tax for a set of four. Had mine on since shortly after I picked up my 17 and no issues.

I see a 2 door set of qtec but not 4 door. Do you have a link?

I have always run Weathertech with no issues, but one of my front my Weathertechs broke at the rear lip when trying to get them seated. Called Weathertech and they sent me a second set. Got them installed and all 4 sounded like the rear lip broke after running the window up and down several times. They still fit fine, so I left them in and have had no issues with them since. I love the fit, function, and look.

I really like the rugged ridge ones I have on my Jeep. They are the double sided tape kind but are incredibly secure. I tried an in-channel version before and it scraped up the top edge of my window which I didn't care for. Additionally these are a matte black finish that is not see through. I like them.

Yeah that double sided tape these days is nuts. 3M makes a VHM they use to hold Peterbilt truck cabs on the frames. Crazy strong stuff.
