Wtf is with these fenders?

So, disclaimer, I hate flat fenders.

Now onto the topic at hand, do any of you guys that do like flat fenders think these look good? I understand the point is to make more tire room, but these don't even do that, because the tires are too far in, and would not travel up to hit the fender, as they would hit the wheel well of the body. I only got front pics, but the rears were literally half way up the side of the quarter panel.

Thoughts?

They look about as bad as the Smittybilt XRC front and rears.

I love flat fenders, but those hideous things look like they were fabbed by a 12yo boy.

They are " trying " way too hard.
The worst part is that they don't go with any of the JK/U's factory lines.

Well I will say they look like they go perfectly with the Grumper. Nothing more need be said.

I was gonna make a similar comment. To each his own, I guess. They're free to run what they want and I'm free to not like it. What a country!

Is it wrong that I actually like the XRC fenders?

This is exactly what I do not like about "builders". They create bolt on accessories and then have the balls to call them "custom builds". Bullshit. BOlts on's and paint are not custom builds. Changing all of that black painted factory body work with matching lines would be a lot closer.

I give them an A+ on the color. Thats pretty righteous neon green.

Very true. But, I really wouldn't want my teenage daughter (if I had one) dating a guy running that stuff. I would question his judgement and decision making skills.

Is that cowl meant to ensure that you have to be 100 feet back from a stoplight to see it?

Okay, those shades above the windshield look like eyebrows and, to me, make the whole front look like the face of the dog-dragon thing in the movie The Neverending Story. Just me?

It needs some big floppy ears.

Hopefully I would have taught my daughter to make better decisions before that happened! My daughter is 12 and the other day we saw a Jeep with a bright neon-colored angry birds grill and she says, "oh my gosh, dad, why'd they do that?"
