Battery Disconnected/Alarm Disable?

Ok, I just got a Python 900 alarm installed on my 05 Wrangler. My 97' wrangler was stolen and totaled... blah! I got the hood switch installed so the alarm will blast if the hood is opened. Although the hood switch is pretty easy to access just through the front grill.

I am wondering, gererally speaking, if you get the hood open without the alarm going off, and disconnect the battery, will the alarm still work? It has a starter disable as well... but I am wondering if you can get the hood open.. that would make the rest of the alarm useless.

Anyone with any info, tips, tricks, please let me know! I will do anything to not have this one stolen. I live in a incredibly high theft area... believe or not... on an island of 800,000 people and over 6,000 stolen cars stolen a year.. you do the math

Thanks!
Nick

You can get a " battery backup". it is a small battery that goes inside the Jeep like under the dash or somewhere it will be diff. to find. this will ensure that if teh battery is disconected the alarm will continue to function. You can also purchase a plane ticket and move to somewhere that has less crime. the battery might be cheaper though.
