I have a 2014 2 door JK, and I have that same chirping noise in the center of the dash and it sounds like it's coming from the center vent scoop outside of the vehicle. I only hear the noise when I get 45mph and higher. And suggestions?

Go to the JK side of the forum. And post a new thread

Mine did that. From a cold start, it would "chirp" maybe a half a dozen times and stop. Wouldn't start again unless it had been sitting a while.
I replaced the D/S u-joint, and it doesn't do it any more.

So I also have an occasional chirp inside the cab and I believe it is the transfer case shifter as mentioned in the previous thread. This site is awesome and keeps an OCD freak like me from losing my mind. Thanks guys.

For those of you that have a chirp coming from the actual center dash, that goes away when you put your hand on it, remove the center dash, and there are some metal clips that hold it on. Put some black tape on those clips, and it will go away.
